Can't see/play flash teases

Good Day everyone,
I was hoping someone could help me with a recent problem I've been having with this site that started about 2 weeks ago. For some reason, flash teases don't work, or never start/load for me, so upon clicking on the tease, it just sits there... black, no loading indicator, no tease.

I have a PC, I am running IE11, and I have uninstalled and re-installed flash (flash11) more times than I can remember. I have gone to other sites that use flash with no problem, and even flash diagnostic sites that verify that I have the most recent version of flash and that it is functioning fine. Could there be a program conflict with, say a Microsoft update or something? I've tried backing up to an older restore point to see if getting rid of any updates from the last 2 weeks helps, but nothing changed.

I am a little confused as to what else to try. I looked at some older tech posts that had to do with flash not working, and none of them quite covered this situation exactly. I appreciate any help anyone is able to give.

I doubt I can help with this, but have you tried resetting your browser or the settings? You've already reinstalled flash, so the only thing I can think of is that it could be the browser or perhaps something you have installed that is interfering with flash.

Thanks for the suggestion Kalil,
I went into the internet options, advanced, and reset the browser to the original or default settings. Unfortunately it didn't fix the problem. Good thought though.

Have you tried a different browser? I'd give Chrome a shot. If it works, it's an IE problem. If not, then there's something more global going on with the computer.

Also, run a scan with SuperAntiSpyware, MalwareBytes and TDSSKiller (by Kaspersky). All of those are free, and they are the scans that I run in my business (computer repair) to remove just about everything nasty from customer computers. Just a side not, they may come up with a lot of stuff, but if they are PUP's (or Potentially Unwanted Programs) don't worry too much about them. You're mostly concerned with trojans, rootkits, etc.

Thanks Scottay, as you suggested, I tried a different browser altogether. Wow, what a difference. I went with Firefox, and it is not only faster and better looking than IE, but flash works again! It must have been some conflict brought about by one of the IE updates. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion. -Tom

Looks like Internet Explorer is still the worst browser after all these years
