English not being your first language is not a valid excuse for sloppy grammar. It's not my first language either and I can still pay attention to how I write. And just to be on the same page: when I say sloppy grammar, I do not mean a few missing commas or some mixed up prepositions and such. I mean the total lack of proper punctuation, capitalization and above all, the net speak, as in writing liek dis bro u mad. It's just annoys the ever-loving fuck out of me. Especially considering that most of the time I see native speakers doing this shit. Just why? These people are lucky enough to speak the no. 1. language in the word and can communicate with people around the globe by default, while everyone else has to put in the effort to do the same and yet instead of actually using the advantage they have, they instead degrade the language to the point, where you actually have to decipher everything they write from somewhat-looks-like-English-if-you-are-looking-at-it-from-a-specific-angle to actual English.

Ehh, sorry for the rent but as a student of the English studies institute of he local university and would-be novelist, obnoxiously bad grammar just really annoys me.
