Whilst it intrigues me a little, I think I too would be worried about breakages and things getting stuck.

I'm all for a little pain, but I like to be able to walk away with no major after effects or lasting damage, that's my limit, if you like.

I've been curious about figging. How does the burning compare to Icy Hot? I am into CBT but Icy Hot is past my threshold for pain. It burns way too much.
Also, where does one get ginger root? Do regular grocers have it?

Yeah you can get it at regular grocers. Make sure you peel the brown skin off first

I would say it was a bit more painful than icy-hot but it burns in a different way... not sure how to describe it.

Okay, I'm trying it currently. I've had the peeled ginger root in my ass for about 15 minutes now. I've read it takes some time to take effect, but how long? At first there was a very slight tingling sensation that may have been my imagination in anticipation, but I don't feel a thing except an object in my anus. I'll update again later.

EDIT: It's been at least 35 minutes and there's just nothing going on. What a disappointment. Am I doing something wrong? It's very much peeled. I got it from Kroger just tonight.

EDIT: I gave up after about an hour.

Weird, it shouldnt take more than a couple of minutes before it starts burning.
Oh, one thing that you should try before inserting it is to score it with a fork or pin all over. It can dry out but if you scratch it the juice comes out again.

Maybe you peeled it then it dried out a bit?

Well I tried it again, this time with a bigger piece, nice and wet, with a few small holes jabbed into it. I definitely felt it this time. It was warm and tingly, but nothing compared to Icy Hot or Gold Bond. I got bored after awhile. Oh well, I guess it's not for me. I was scared it would be too intense for me, from what I'd read about it.
