Censorship on Milovana
Censorship on Milovana
I'm troubled greatly by a recent development on this site. It seems that all of a sudden, there are "rules for chat", and a recent thread on the forum was locked after a single posting. I'm referring to the post by a user, asking if anyone was interested in Strip Poker. While I agree that this post was a bit blatant, and could have been worded with more ettiquette, I don't see the difference between this user soliciting attention, as this one did, or a post by another user, for instance, Lindsey, who is a well respected, and valued member of this site. The only difference that I see, is the latter was done by a female. Granted, this is a site dedicated to basically dominating the male, it should be pointed out that the male still has some basic rights. The right to freedom of speech, for instance. If we are going to start limiting a user on what they can say based upon gender, then this site is clearly not the open, welcoming community that we have all come to love. I understand that Mz. Teneale is trying to instill some basic order, and a bit of ettiquette, I strongly believe that limits on what can be said, or not said, and by whom, based upon something other than common courtesy is flat out wrong. A person can be respectful, and friendly, and still ask to be teased. Or solicit their accomplishment, or website on chat. Or any number of things that are "forbidden" by the "rules of Chat", and indeed, users are even being threatened with reduction of rights, or termination of their user account, for not following said rules. It should be mentioned that these rules are also clearly skewed in favor of the female. Again, for such an open community, I don't believe that to be correct. If you want outright femdom, there are plenty of places that cater to that. I thought this was a site dedicated to openness, and exchange of ideas. Was I wrong???
PS, I fully expect this post to cause some controversy. Please don't misunderstand my intentions here, I'm not disparaging the actions of *anyone* on here. I merely think that perhaps this is being taken a bit too far, and hope to inject a healthy dose of logic into the situation.

Re: Censorship on Milovana
Adminstration desides what is open or locked or censored
this is after a non-pay site, run by individuals.
With the other spam hits this site is recieving
I can see good reasons for locking out
requests form first time forum posts.
However, I want to encourage everyone to post either there first time or 5000th
While locking a forum is not common
I see no reason why the strip poker post should have stayed unlocked.
Can we not better ignore it if it's locked away?
On a lighter note
This is a teases and denial site
locking things up for a while is a turn on for many of us (joking a bit)

lol.
i still don't agree with locking it but the point that it was the 1st post is a good one. (Think Mz_Teneale made it too).
For the record, i am very for locking things up.

Re: Censorship on Milovana
About locking that thread.
He was a newly registered member, he hadnt introduced himself, and his first post was "Any cute girls want to play poker, im hard and ready". Now, i locked that thread because in my opinion, if i hadnt, whose to say countless other guys wouldnt post the same thing. All of them not contributing to the site, and pretty much making this forum a worse place for the majority of us.
Of course, on the flip side, nothing could have come out of it, and eventually the thread might have been ignored and people would have been none the wiser. I think i took the best course of action under the circumstances. If the member was better known around, even created a few teases, i probably would have left it there.
As for the rules of the chatroom. Most people will agree that their fairly standard in all chatrooms across the net. As for the rules about "no cumming" and "you should play with a mistress if she asks", forgive me, i thought this was a site about femdom content, and dont you complete teases every day stating the same thing? And if you read the rules properly, with the "you should play with a mistress" rule, you would see that im never actually taking away control from the guy, he always has a choice. And forgive me, but before i introduced those rules, the chat room was desolate most nights. Now, you go in there, more ladies feel safe on there, which encourages guys to go on, which makes for a much more fun time. The last few times i have been on there it has been slammin.
Im also trying to create a safer environment for the women of the site. Why? Look at the ratio between guys and girls. Your obviously not a woman, because if you were, you would know that even from just being here, we instantly grab attention. Every day, all of us recieve countless pm's from various guys asking for us to "stroke them", "control their cocks", "be their mistress", "talk dirty to them". This is one of the fundamental reasons why i and alot of other women have left this site in the past. Hopefully, by creating a more friendly environment for girls, more will come, which will make it more enjoyable for you guys. So your welcome.
If you want to talk more personally about this issue, dont hesitate to pm me.

The other point i forgot to make is the fucking spam that is flowing through the site lately. With all these people joining, then posting crap on their first post, i honestly just want to protect people from being caught in a spam trap virus thingy

I like rules, but then I would say that, I'm a bitch.
But even so, sometimes rules get a bit well ... need to be taken on balnace and in the circumstance.
I hate spam.
But there is on topic spam and off topic spam.
For the on topic stuff, it is just a matter of getting the right placement

Dunno about anybody else, but I regularly go up to a bunch of girls, and the first thing I say to them is " Hey I'm hard and ready lets play" and sometimes "Hey girls, anyone wanna tease my cock"
Hasn't worked yet, but it will one day, I'm sure of it!
This site is in essence a Femdom site and in my limited experience and brain capacity I've managed to work out that that means what the girl says goes.
It amuses me that people including myself will follow a webtease written by a male, with pictures of a girl telling you what to do, but when it comes to a real lady laying down the rules we get complaints.

Re: Censorship on Milovana
Censorship? There's hardly anything in the way of censorship going on.
You're right in the sense that seraph0x has made it a big point in the past to try and be as open as possible on the forums, and he seems more apt to encourage good behavior rather than punish bad. There's no posted rules on the forums, but everybody knows the rules of common sense, and it's pretty obvious what is and isn't acceptable.
Now what is posted as the "rules" for the chat room is just common sense as well, only typed out in a post. Things like, "Be respectful of each other." "Don't force the ladies on into uncomfortable situations." Of course there's a few fun ones in there, but that should be obvious that they aren't to be taken as seriously as the others.
As far as the topic getting locked, I don't see what's new? Here's a couple links to other examples, though there are several more but they get deleted rather promptly before conversation is able to start. If people start talking in it, it gets locked instead of deleted, from what I can tell. Opposite of censorship.

Re: Censorship on Milovana
I don't see a problem with a little bit of locking some of the forums. I mean a "any ladies want to tease me" post do get a little annoying from time to time. Now I'm not saying that they are bad its just when the forum is full of them, it's just icky lol. I agree with Ms Teneale that that particular one was "obvious" spam. 1st day on site and a post like that, come on. She also said that if it had been a "contributing" member that she would have left it on. I don't think its a gender issue. Just think about all the bots on some of the other chat rooms. Most of the time that's all that is on there no need in to even join them. I'd much rather have 1 real person than 10 bots.
I don't want Milovana to turn into a huge spam rest. Just remember this is a free site where we the members can add and edit our own material. I love the creativity of writing, its fun to read and create teases. There are teases that I love there are teases that I hate, to be honest. But its free so I'm not complaining, not to say anyone is.
Over all everyone remember no matter what you do "you cannot please everyone"

Re: Censorship on Milovana
Chat rules: Provide an environment that is conducive to have a chat that is within the theme for this site. It is understood that most of the time when someone wants to be teased, they will be in the room. Therefore if someone is in the mood to tease, they should have the option of approaching people who seem like they want to be teased. OD's chat and this chat dry out easily when people who are just trying to relax and converse get fed up with repeated spam directed to them in chat. I'm leaving this gender neutral for the following reason....
Censorship of Posts: Teaser to teasee ratio equals approximately few:waytoomany. This doesn't have to do with male v.s. female as much as it does with someone who is wiling and wanting to provide entertainment or teasing, as opposed to requesting. I usually come here when I'm in a mood to be teased, but if I'm in the mood to tease a girl who may be having bad thoughts and needs to be frustrated more; I doubt my thread would be locked or I would be chastised. This is because I'd be offering to be the teaser to someone who might want to be teased, which is the cases of Ms Lindsey, Princess Christine, Mz Teneale, and other ladies who have posted in such ways in the past.
It is the dynamic of the theme for this site called Milovana, and you are confusing it for a democratic nation with a Bill of Rights and Constitution. While the staff and mods do their best to have everything accessible and fun for everyone, they have the right to run things how they like and that's that.

Re: Censorship on Milovana
Well so few posts get locked on this board so any locking ends up drawing attention.
I've been using online forums since before most people knew what an internet was (ever heard of a Hayes modem?), and that's probably why it grates on me but the term SPAM does not incorporate to all unwanted posts and such. Spam refers to computer generated ads and messages, It is analogues to junk mail. So regardless of the quality of thread it's not spam. Spamming is the act of repeatedly posting or sending messages.
Anyway I'll repeat my suggestion. Anytime you want a forum to be moderated it helps to post (generally in a stickyed thread on that forum) guidelines to posting. Otherwise moderation is often seen as inconsistant and power driven regardless of how it is actually applied.

Gotta say the thing I find amusing is the complaint being made by someone who has never posted before....oh well just an observation.

and yet his single post is relevant, though-out, and timely.
Just because someone rarely or never posts doesn't mean they don't care or that they mean any less.
