Noticed a server slowdown this morning - fortunately there was a clear culprit: I was able to change the query that loads and displays images in FlashTeases to be 200x faster. The change shouldn't cause any issues, but if there are problems with images in FlashTeases not showing up, please do let me know. The change definitely seems to have helped the site's performance, but I'll know for sure when we hit peak traffic tonight.
I also updated phpBB - our forum software - to 3.0.12.
I noticed the slowdown in my Twisty's day 5 tease too. I didn't know what the problem was, I thought it was just because of my tease, because it is so big, but now it seems to be ok!
Good update, noticed major slowdown yesterday. Site running just fine now - not seeing a huge improvement in speed with Flashteases, but not slow either.
