Have you ever had to throw out toys for any reason?

While I'm sure at some point most of us have thrown away stuff before - condoms, lube, disposable products, I was wondering if any of you have ever had to throw away any of your gear, or felt that life would be easier if you did?

I've been going through a transition in life, let's call it "finding myself". And in order to make room for my other passion, I'd have to either throw out, or rearrange other stuff in my already small enough room. I've thought about throwing away just the stuff I don't use much - for example I tried chastity, but it just wasn't really to my taste, at least in solo play (good thing I tried a cheap bootleg first).

Part of me wonders if it's a waste, ,no matter how much or how little, money had been spent to get these, so it may be a rather difficult parting, but I'm leaning towards it being a good choice to cut down.

But yeah, what about you guys?

I have thrown away dildoes that were stained or turned out to be made out of "mystery rubber" instead of safe/disinfect-able silicone.

I have also thrown out condoms past their due date...

But it sounds like you are talking more about a PURGE and not something healthy like getting rid of expired stuff.

I do NOT recommend getting rid of all your toys... you will just end up buying them again later. Once kinky, always kinky. You cannot cut off or get rid of this part of yourself, even if you get rid of the evidence.

This I threw my clothes and toys out a few months ago and deeply regret it.

I would say that you should try to narrow down what you have based on your intent to use the certain item.

For example, if you are into anal play and say you have multiple of dildos then you could narrow it down to the 1 you use the most.
If its something like your chastity device then you kinda have to ask yourself if you truly intend to use it, if not then throw it out.

Sorry for kinda neglecting this thread!

Don't worry, my stuff doesn't own me in the least, only when I'm in the mood, but that's more of a natural want than an obsessive need

By throwing out, it's more of a case of I've tried something, but I'm not getting the most out of it, or getting that full fulfilment I anticipated. One case is as highlighted above - bootlegged equipment, though I knew it was a bootleg chestity before actually purchasing which gave my a clear indication on whether I'm interested in said fetish.

It's not a case either of "I'll get caught" or "someone will think I'm a weirdo". In fact I may live with family, but I'm entirely comfortable in my personality.

I'm thinking of throwing a couple things out...
- my (TINY) buttplug, seriously it's the diameter of a thumb, no kick at all
- bootleg chastity
- a couple crossdress for natural wear and tear purposes.

I've also been thinking since, and I'm debating locking up my other sex toys in a modified putting kit case - i.e. larger butt plugs, dildos and rope. That way I can free up the smell of the toys in the drawer and use it for actual storage, rather than my fetish drawer.
