Since I'm a student and hence poor, I've mostly been creating my own toys from various things. I'm hoping to get some feedback on what I've already made and hopefully some new ideas for projects! And of course I'd be interested to hear what other people have made, too!

Here's a list of what I already have:
Chastity device; made of leather and (sadly) unlockable. Completely prevents masturbation, though allows some hardening. Leather also means it has to be removed to bathe/shower.
Humbler; made of two unbending sticks with coins glued in to make the hole the right size. Usually held together with elastic bands.
Dildo; the old design of a pen core with an old sock and some tape to hold it together. Apparently slightly too large for a standard starter anal toy, but I haven't had many problems, really. Needs covering with a condom to use.
(Pictures probably available on request eventually, but for now I am camera-less.)

Here are a couple of halfhearted projects:
Plastic & lockable chastity device; I recently found a tube I could use for the main section, I'm trying to find a curtain ring or something to lock it on to.
Cuffs/shackles; cut out of leather and soon to be sewn up.

Lock heavy padlock with small shackle around your balls. (light CBT toy)
Another one can be locked around the base of cock and balls. May be used to lock chastity tube.
Dildo and anal plug may be made of wood or plastic bottles, such as deodorant. As the base of plug back so it does not fall through you can use a piece of sheet rubber. Anal beads can be made by connecting with a thread eggs "Kinder Surprise" or ping-pong balls. If you insert inside heavy balls, marbles, be obtained ben-wa balls. example of metal ball bearings

Vladimir - liked the silicone filled condom idea!

Never tried this but have considered placing a condom in some kind of tube, filling it with water, tying the end closed, place in freezer. Hey presto an ice dildo. Would use it 'as is', so you'd have a solid ice core slipping around inside the condom whilst surrounded by water.

Things I have tried:
Put a smallish tupperware box about halfway into a stocking, then tie the stocking ends together over the outside-bottom of the tub. You now have a nylon 'trampoline' affair, with a handy handle. Great for cockhead polishing! I used a kitchen sieve once - it's already got a handle.

Can also make a kind of fleshlight. Get a fairly rigid plastic bottle and cut the flat bottom end off. Poke the toe end of a stocking up from the bottom of the bottle and out of the bottle neck at the top- use a stick or something. Fold the thigh end down over the outside of the bottle. Pull the toe-end tight, and tie it off with a pen, split ring or something (to keep it taught and to stop it returning back inside the bottle). You now have a nylon 'cone' inside the bottle. Not as tight as a fleshlight, or remotely like the real thing, but pleasant none the less.

In the game fallout new vegas, your character can say he just needs duct tape and spam (the food) to get off. Potentially that could work as a fleshlight, but i wouldn't want to try it.

I am also looking for a DIY chastity belt, none of the adult stores around me have them. I bought some handcuffs but they are to small for my hands, so i tried to see if i could make a chastity belt from it. The cuffs have an emergency open switch tho, which goes against my strict standards for a chastity belt.

I want a chastity belt i can wear for months, don't have to take it of using the bathroom or while sleeping, and makes it so i can only touch my cock if i have the key or destroy the belt.

Here's a couple more cheap nylon-based thrills:

- Take a short section of toe-end, and pull it tightly over your cock and balls together, tie off with a shoelace or elastic around your cock and balls. Not really a chastiy belt, more of a weak erection constrictor. The next bit works for cb6000 (perhaps other ball-trappers, maybe home made too). Cover yourself as above, and put on the A-ring/spacer/lockpins. Now lift a pinch of nylon somewhere just up from the base of your cock and - carefully - make a small snip in the nylon. A small snip is better. Pull your cock through the hole and slip on the tube as normal. Your balls are now tightly covered in nylon. (Can't remember if I saw a pic of this and figured it out, or figured it out then saw a pic). Looks quite cool in an unusual sheer colour. Also helps enormously with reducing trapped hairs and pinching in general.
- A shorter 'band' of nylon without the toe can be used to line under the A-ring only. Looks a bit untidy, but is easy to remove without removing the device and unlike lube doesn't need to be reapplied, can also be washed and reused. It's possible, but fiddly, to put a liner on under a device your're already wearing. (So Sir/Madam need never know you use such a thing....????)

-Place some coins in a short piece of toe-section. Over the bollocks and tie off with shoelace or similar. A lighweight 'bullbag' ball stretcher. Not really my thing, but heavier weights just need more layers. Try ice cubes for a laugh.

I've made a couple of non-nylon cheap thrills, anyone want to hear about them?

Wow, what a great bunch of ideas! As Ragged Edger said, the silicone filled condom is a particularly good idea, and has the benefit of being customisable in the making, so thanks Vladimir!

Ashplosh, here's my current plan for my plastic chastity device:
Make the tube out of some existing tube/piping. For that you can use pipestock.com, which has very cheap piping at a size you can choose (measure carefully!) but the shipping is a bit expensive, but I have personally gone out to buy a kids "bubble sword" which comes in a largish plastic tube. Again different sizes are available and they are cheaper, but you need to judge the size by eye. For the base ring I'm looking at curtain rings, like this at the higher diameters. Then it's a case of cutting the tube to the right length, either drilling holes in the end or cutting it off and sticking a funnel over instead, and cutting a small rectangle through the top of the tube to slide the hook-hole in the curtain ring through. Then it should padlock shut! (I hope that made sense outside of my head)

Les, that's a really comprehensive site with some good ideas I could see on my first trip through - I'll need to have another look soon when I have more time.

And Ragged Edger, do elaborate on these non-nylon based thrills!

Hi guys,

- I'd be a bit careful on the homemade curtain rail thing. Not cause it's a bad idea, just that when I looking at that option, all the ones I saw seemed a look a bit too small. If you find yourself needing a trip to casualty, you can say what you like but the staff'll know exactly what you've been up to !!
The A-rings you get with a cbxxxx, (they are slightly oval, but not by much) are 50mm, 47mm, 45mm, 39mm and 37mm across the widest. I wouldn't want to try a curtain-ring less than 45mm wide, bigger if you can get one. Think I started with the 50mm (briefly), and switch between 47 and 45 now. I'm totally 'average' size btw.

A simple strap can be made by joining the two ends of a leather watchstrap using a U-shaped piece of wire. Slip strap ends on, twist the wire to secure, fold the wire ends over and cover any spiky bits with tape. I've made a four armed version by similarly joining together a gents and ladies strap (at the same junction with a figure 8 wire join), for use as a cock-and-ball/ball strap combo. Kind of fiddly, but if you thread a hair-scrunchy onto the ball strap, and before buckling, pull the scruchy up, over and between your bollocks, then thread the strap through again at the top and buckle, you've added a ball-splitter.

If you were to fill a glove with silicone, could you make a 'wanking hand' ?? Mould it to the shape you want with heavy wire or something?? Would if flex? Would that be good or bad? Would it be a bit too heavy ??

Last of my cheap thrills:
- A pair of handcuffs can be made from 2 short sections of garden chain, each about 8 inches or so long. Wind one piece around one wrist, and use a small padlock to lock the last link as close to your wrist as you can/want. Do the same on the other wrist. You're now wearing a chain bangle with a dangly bit on each wrist. Join the 2 dangly ends together with a small plastic cable tie or similar - this is your emergency get out of jail weakest link. If you fuck it up with the padlock keys (2 chances!) you can fairly easily cut the cable tie with wire snips, heavy scissors or even melt it with a flame (careful now!!). So that's FIVE escape routes. [I've used all these, I'm rubbish with left hand key to right hand padlock manoeuver, so check stuff like that out carefuly first!!]. You can never have too many ways to get free. Ankles, thighs similar.
(Idea: cable ties at the wrist, 1 padlock in the middle, but 'fire escape' not possible hmmmm. A daisy-chain of cable ties, possibly, no key escape, still got fire hmmmmm??)

- A length of chain around the waist tight enough so the links don't move and pinch provides many anchor and slip points for bondage and shibari-type harnesses.
- If you secure the chain ends with a split ring (keyring), you can then construct handcuffs with the separating length runs through the split ring, and make a body-belt.

Sorry about the very delayed reply here; I did my usual thing of having a very close call and swearing off kink for a while...

Unfortunately my plans for the chastity device fell through a bit, getting rings the right size is difficult - what I wish I'd realised earlier is that curtain rings are measured by the outer diameter.

That said, since my current mobile phone is on its last legs I thought I'd share an idea I've had for a vibrating butt plug:
Materials needed are 2 pencils, an old sock/other useless fabric, a vibrating object (from dismantling the phone, though small motors are relatively easy to come by) and some tape.
One pencil can be cut in half and the two halves attached together to make a cross as the base. The other sticks up to be the inserted section. The vibrating part should be attached to this, then wrapped (tightly) in fabric to take off any corners and ease insertion. Taping the whole thing should keep it together, then cover with a condom to insert...
Can anyone see a problem with this design? All I can figure out is that if the fabric isn't tight enough around the vibrating part it'll "muffle" the effects...
