As much as I would love to see you add videos to this awesome tease, I wasn't actually trying to pressure you. More than anything, I was expressing that you probably have a more receptive audience for that than you realize. :)
I know that it's hard work, so I'll stay off your back about it. :)

Re: FB: The Awesome Competition 2
I wanted to come back in here and give a second review. I've played this... 6 or 7 times now? since my previous post. This really feels above and beyond a standard flash tease, partly from the length but moreso from the audio component, the detailed story, and the sheer intricacy of all the possible paths.
Now, I didn't notice this the first time through, but after that I had been mostly starting from the save point. After a few more times through, I went back and incorporated round 1 again. (I was looking for the pool table scenario again... the counting games are one of my favorite kinds for some reason.) When I got to the dressing room in round 2 (and realized that there were conditional scenarios), it wasn't getting set. I went through that scenario 3 or 4 times before moving on. I even added in a set command for the page and it didn't work, so maybe that's a bug with the app?
I also did end up tweaking the XML pretty heavily. I cut out the conditional checks so that all the scenarios can come up (and let me choose all endings each time), I added in jump points to each round, and I actually cut most of the page timers in about half... it's just SUCH a long runthrough that I couldn't keep making 3-4 hours for it every time. The above bug with repeats is obviously fixed by removing the conditional check... adding the regular "set page" works fine.
Finally, here's some more feedback:

Would love to try out the modified version, if you wouldn't mind sharing your XML. :)

Hmm, really? Technically all I did was shorten up the metronome pages and hacked out part of the story. I'm more than happy to post it but I'd want Mokkori's okay on that. I respect his... artistic vision, shall we say.
Technically I've fixed a few loops, a few missing sound file references, some typos, and a few mistaken page names... in that vein, I'd be happy to QA future teaseme projects, Mokkori. :)

Heh, I don't mind at all PD and I'd be curious to see it myself. Be sure to name the file "PDiddy Remix" (pun intendedprawndiddy wrote:Hmm, really? Heh, well... I wanted to go over it once more before posting it, since I hadn't intended for anyone else to use it. I planned on fixing a few more typos, cleaning up my personal jump points at the start, etc. I may not have hit all the break rounds, but I think I've seen all the possible optional scenarios during the rounds. The two uh, "special" rounds are some of my favorite, even without the "bonus." (-- Edit: I think another thing I want to change is which scenarios are required to complete a round. I like some of the optionals more than the core scenes, but I haven't decided which to require and which to leave to chance so I didn't change that yet.)supermokkori wrote:Heh, I don't mind at all PD and I'd be curious to see it myself. That said, when I started to go through it, I started at the start and I actually failed in the qualifier with (not) Brittany. Embarassing. Hadn't done anything for a couple days, high libido day, etc etc. So... here's what I've got! heh. I'm leaving for the holidays tomorrow and won't be in a position to do any other tweaks until January, and I didn't want to leave it that long. I do plan on doing a few more tweaks for myself, so maybe I'll update the file once I do.
It's only 150kB zipped up so I'm just going to attach it.
Oh, and obviously pun intended. The username is that pun intended in the first place. :)

Re: FB: The Awesome Competition 2
Hopefully thread necros aren't too frowned upon here...
I haven't come across any teases lately that I've enjoyed as much as AC2. The Climb 2.oh was good and pretty close, but the theme was a little too aggro. Anyway, I was actually wondering, for anyone who also finds this tease to be one of their favorites, which other teases would you recommend? I'd also much prefer offline TeaseMe teases if possible.
I still go back to this one every couple of weeks. There's so much in it that I can just pick a round and go, and then just fail an edge if I feel satisfied or I don't have more time. :)

Hey prawndiddy, thanks again for the kind words and continued support - good to know I made something that some find interesting enough to go back to play.prawndiddy wrote:Hopefully thread necros aren't too frowned upon here...

One thing I like to do every once in awhile is to take the TeaseMe tease, The Challenge, and use completely different images and add like 3-5 additional "boss battle" options to happen. I haven't been around in in the past couple of months due to new life changes, so can't speak to any new teases that have a similar feel or format. Member Nomios was actually working on an AC2 "side story" tease, but I also know he's been quite busy himself.
So, other than the teases that influenced AC2 (namely, the original Awesome Competition and Will You Want To Go On) can't really help you out. That said, i've been slowly collecting new material for my next tease - once things settle down for me, I'm going to try to start working on it and hopefully have it done in July.

Re: FB: The Awesome Competition 2
Hi, Is there a torrent file of this anywhere? I've seen this referenced in the stroker edge thread which I enjoyed watching - so I'm interested in this as well,
Thanks.
Thanks.
