Right now we haven't really replaced his role in the team, we brought in Clint Dempseybut he's nowhere near as good. Also Dembele and Holtby, but they are all very different to VdV. Right now Bale is having a lot of success in the "number 10" position though.

Bale has been shifting all over the place, he's such a dangerous player that teams have been marking himwith two players so he has to move to find the space. So he's started playing centrally more often. Dembele has been really good but his form has dipped towards the end of the season he's got an injury and really needs a bit of a rest.
