If you look at the sticky offline tease (teaseme).
The original teaseme program (for windows) allows you to download and view teases offline.
It has been improved over time so it can do more than the online teases. There are various enhanced teases that you can download just for teaseme. (I am not the programer of the windows version)
I have written an android version based on the windows version.
I have also written the editor to make writting teaseme teases easier for non it people (or those like me who prefer to let the computer do the boring stuff)
I have enhanced the editor so it will convert teaseme to online teases, so the editor can now be used for writing either.
All the links to the programs and teaseme teases are in the first post of the teaseme thread.
If you want to do a tease offline it is better to check if there is already a teaseme version and download that, most have higher quality pictures and it places less stress on the milo server (and therefore reduces the cost of running milo)

Re: Offline Editor
Hi really great editor! I began to look on it, and since it is so easy to create a tease, I am going to try.
One problem though, I can Play Audio Once I start the editor, but then no audio plays. I can restart it and I can play one. I change the media direction to a folder I created for the one tease.

I must admit I have not really used the play audio so had not noticed, it only played the first file and then only once.kong wrote:Hi really great editor! I began to look on it, and since it is so easy to create a tease, I am going to try.

Have fixed that and the issue with font sizes when generating nyx code.
There is also a new option under tools which will extract all the text to word so you can spell check and grammar check. This will only show you where the errors are if you update it in word it does not get reflected back into the tease.
new version is in the normal place

Re: Offline Editor
Hurray! It works! XD
Next thing, maybe a hard thing to do is:
when I "play" an audio that is starting in a certain point and stopping, and listen on it through the editor I listen from the beginning of the tease. Though it works with the start/stop in the tease if you write in the time in the fallowing formate x:xx:xx.
Another thing i am experiencing is that the media:"icons/list" on the right doesn't work while I am clicking on them,, I have to manually write/paste the name of the file (in the list to the left).

Re: Offline Editor
Does it work for you to add more than 1 video?
For me it gets really weird. (same videos, same start and stop (on both, but I added another), and mystical buttons appears (the buttons from the first page)

New version of the editor is up.
Have added start and stop at times for audio.
Have added a preview window on the video tab, if you press the play button above it, it should just show the bit between start and stop at.
Have not been able to reproduce either of the other two issues.
Images work fine for me, plus I created as test tease with 4 pages that had videos all seem to work.

The file location in options must be set to where the tease xml is stored and the media must be in a subdirectory correctly set in Media directory on the general tab.
So for the screen shot above the pictures audio and video should be in Z:\TM\Teases\Kates Birthday 3

Re: Offline Editor
I've been working on a tease in the flash editor.
But can I import the Nyx script in the offline editor and start working from there or can I only start from scratch/already published and downloaded teases?

The editor will not convert Nyx to tease me, so no.0385 wrote:I've been working on a tease in the flash editor.

You could try publishing what you have, downloading it using tease me and then un-publishing it.
That would allow you to then continue developing it in the offline editor.

Re: Offline Editor
It did not like some of the pages not having a text node in the xml. I suspect you did not create these pages in the editor but added them manually? The editor should create an empty text node.lmind wrote:Ok I will send the XML. Thank you for your help!
Per Venus's suggestion, I tried cutting it into smaller parts, and that did not work (same result).
I have a suspicion about what might be the problem. The tease (pre) sets certain long sequences of page id's, then unsets them sequentially during playback -- kind of like a zipper. It also relies on AutoSetPageWhenSeen to (re) set viewed pages -- a reverse zipper, following the first. Thus, one page id at a time remains unset, which acts as a bookmark.
I then use the "random" number-range page targeting of TeaseMe to return to the bookmark after breakout routines.
example:I make use of this throughout the tease, and I worried that it might be hard to parse.
- Spoiler: show
I have changed the editor (Nyx generation bit) so it copes and it looks like the change is working I will upload a new version of the editor in the next couple of days.
It should also now be limited by the memory in the computer rather than about 32000 characters, so should work with larger xml files.

Indeed, I created the tease with a separate XML editor.

Couple of fixes to the Nyx generation.
It will now generate if there are pages with no text nodes
The default limit of 32000 characters has been removed so large teases should now generate

Re: Offline Editor
Ops. uninstalled the old version and installed the new version.
By accident I uninstalled a .net framework and now it does not work.
I think you uploaded it in an old version, the microsoft .net framework? I remembered that I got an install file though.
