[FB + TeaseMe] The Gamble

It works OK. Those who can't get it to work probably are doing something wrong.

1) Try to download latest version of TeaseMe, for example,
2) or doublecheck the folder name you create, it should be called "The Gamble", not "The gamble", not "Gamble" and not any other way.
3) Make shure there's no sub-catalogues in "The Gamble" folder - all pictures and sounds should be placed in it's root.
4) Make shure that both "The Gamble" folder and xml file are placed in ../Teases directory of TeaseMe application. XML file should NOT be placed inside "The Gamble" folder.

Just a few user-proof tips to check for those who downloaded it.

In the Short version I had Hard-Medium-Hard-Medium, but the final Medium brought me up to 65% from the 50% I had. I'll keep going to see if it keeps the 65% in the final calculation.

Edit: After doing another Medium, my final chance is 35% ?! It should be 70%.

I used 7-zip without problems. Sounds more like a corrupted download to me.


One related feedback though:

It's generally a bad idea to include a readme file at the archive root. That places similar readme files from other teases in conflict with each other. Much better to put the readme into the tease's media folder.

I found a little typo in the TeaseMe xml. Unfortunately it's crucial and could destroy with a little chance the whole experience of the tease.

Finally can give you some feedback, as I got time to play the tease.
I'v played 5 rounds, and failed on 6th. I'm not into denial now and had no intention to be denied in the first place, so I enjoyed it still.

I liked the tease. A good selection of pictures too. Sounds are awesome, but lack divercity a bit. Still, very cool. This brings me to remember my thread I created some time ago. Where did you get the sounds from? Is there a chance to get more? I'v noticed that voice commands are definitely not TTS and at the same time have no background noises. Awesome! Looking forward to know the source.

As for the tease itself - just as I love it. No story, simple commands, yet good "interaction". I guess you can call it atmosphere. The tease got gradually harder for me, which is good. However this may as well be due to the fact that I picked first three rounds easy, then two medium, then the last one was hard.

I can't quite tell what made me fail. It was a series of "overdrive" things, but I wasn't feeling anything much. They were pretty easy. Especially that I didn't particulary like the picture set in that round. But I guess the thing the girl said made me somehow loose my cool head and concentrate a lot on sexy things which is always a stamina-destroyer, haha. So in that regard I can applaud you! great job not only with scripting but words too! I think if I didn't read things I would be able to reach the end.

Too damn true!

The commands/wording can often affect me far more than the pictures themselves do - and therefore I tend to think all the top shelf tease authors tend to have this in common: Great writing skills and understanding of the mentality of the "victim" in their teases.

Thanks for the detailed feedback Nezhul. It's good to hear that the girls which are supposed to push your mind into the "right" direction, are doing their job well.

Regarding the sounds topic: I got most of the sounds (instructions) from vindicare. I believe he also posted them in the forums some time ago. (edit: I found it, here you go: http://www.milovana.com/forum/viewtopic ... 30#p133830 )
A few sounds I found myself, but searching for them is quite difficult. To improve the quality of the sounds I used audacity. There I can adjust volume and reduce/eliminate white noise.
Please feel free to use these sounds.

Failed somewhere about half way through round 8, got about half easy rounds, a hard round,a medium and 2 or 3 of the hard modes (kept getting easy ones and wanted to increase my chances)

Unfortunately got sent beyond control, didn't expect the overdrive to take me, the words definitely put me over, combined with the sexy pics and all the rest, it normally is very easy for me to complete multiple teases without losing it in a single session, good work! Now I have to beat this! Will be playing again!
