A tease republished/modified without the author logged in...

Recently a tease was republished or modified, and yet the author appears as having been offline for ages.

Is this down to a bug or hidden online status?

The "last online" is a feature by the forum and it will only be updated if I trigger a certain function. Early on (like 2006 until early 2007) we did that pretty consistently, but it got tedious to do that and forum updates broke the feature, so now I have no idea which pages it still works on or if it even works at all.

Long story short - it's definitely possible for somebody to go on the site and mess around in the webtease editor or Nyx especially and not have their "last online" update if they don't go to the forums.
