Does anyone have any suggestions about features they would like to see in a CH-esque project?

Anything to change it up, or perhaps even modify the format in some way. Could be something that's missing or just something no one has thought of yet. I'll have some free time coming up soon hopefully and right now I'm able to create the beats, strokemeter and edit clips without any trouble, I've just not decided on a theme / approach to it.

I'd rather not make just another CH so I'm looking for a few ideas to mix things up a bit.

(I don't need suggestions for who, more so concepts for the structure)


My Plan

My initial thoughts is a sort of game/tease hybrid akin to an RPG where surviving rounds earns you XP and bonuses to help you through the boss fights. These would be enforced interactively rather than the current "rules" that I imagine most people don't know of, regarding timeouts and never taking your eyes off the screen etc...

In the beginning of each round you can choose harder/normal.
And there would be challenges/(bosses).
If you choose the harder one you get more points. There are 2 strokemeters (the harder one is ex dubble the normal (or two pararel stroker-beats -visually, same audio beat).

In the resting- you can get extra points if you stroke/edge (to a beat).

You can use the points to:
Pause/ skip an edge

To get more challenging, if you have to edge with an edge countdown and you don't get there in time, you pause the vid and get there and then resume.

The challenge could involve: stroking, edging, PC-muscle holding (tensing), other things if you like (massaging, hold breath, heavy breathing (breath fast - you get to the edge faster)

In the end there could be a ladder and between the ladders there could be tensing-parts. (ladders-edging(x) sec + pause (tensing) - edging(x+y) sec + pause/tensing. (I think it is boring to hold the edge for long periods, though it is hard but it's more fun to edge/tense wich could be so more intense after a while then the pc-muscle is tierd.

If you want to make an interactive story you can maybe: were there is an oppertunity to choose way, you can tell the Cock Hero Character to jump to a specific time in the video (XX:XX). Otherwise you could create the first Cock Hero that is written for Teaseme were multiple paths would be easy.

I think there's a way to fullscreen the application but I'm not sure if it'd be a borderless fullscreen type effect.

Playing it is not really an issue, I'd planned on creating a Java version of CH Randomiser after getting the source code from AndyP to look at.

It would mean that it'd support different video formats over the rather limited WMP variant, notably MKV which allows for multiple tracks(A/V) and subtitles to come bundled all with the one file.

This first project won't be built within anything, I might consider porting it if there's a large request but this is more of an experiment and what can be done with the genre so I'll be using my own software to run the experience within a Java environment likely using VLC to play the videos.

I'd like to see this and mixing up the content amongst the rounds a little bit. The idea of a girl prancing around in a FTV clip for 5 minutes in no way "warms me up." It's just flat out dull. This idea that the content needs to get hotter as the rounds go on isn't really enjoyable to me because, for a lot of CH style videos, I spend half the video at least in no danger at all. Rather than making it "This is the ass round, this is the blowjob round, this is the fucking round" it seems better to blend various activities into multiple rounds. That way, you'll have rounds that turn everyone on for one reason or another. Personally, I'm more turned on by softcore porn if it's interlaced with something a little more hardcore - especially if it's the same girl. Watching a girl dance around in her underwear isn't too hot, but when you've seen her fucking someone really good it becomes that much hotter. I think I've seen one FTV clip used in a CH video that actually got me pretty worked up, and that was only because it's Riley Reid and... well... she's Riley Reid, she doesn't just have a good looking body, she just has a super hot personality.

Watching the same girl do the same action for 5 minutes isn't going to push me over the edge once I've adapted to what's happening. Again, this is my personal opinion and YMMV, but I might as well say it.

Oh, and more audio. Women saying some dirty things can be more likely to push me over the edge than the action itself. There's a lot of actresses out there that will just say the filthiest things imaginable and it's incredibly hot.

I have a Java based version that's using VLC to playback media, rather basic just now, just a video, seek bar and a timer, still to add most of the features. I'll try and make it so the final release is either a self contained launcher or an .exe to maintain usability.

It should run on linux/mac but as I'm windows only I've yet to test, we're probably a few days / weeks away before I worry about cross-platform compatibility. Expect bugs.

Just to keep things on topic, I'm coding features just now, there'll probably be another thread later on for who and such.

Before I found the site here I contemplated ways to get more mileage out of my porn collection. One of the thoughts was basically creating a 'fake' chat window that would pop up randomly on the pc as though it were a person talking to you, and basically have the chat program talk and call up random segments from porn clips to get me going or mess with me. I guess essentially faking out having a person sending you personal videos (pov shots etc) or 'let me turn my webcam on' etc. Just something to add another layer to the movies.

That might be a bit off the cock here genera, but is similar to when the videos have a narrator.

Another thing I think would be interesting would be a few short sentences to alter a scene as it's starting. Maybe something to either go with the actors to give them a setting, 'They were at a party, he said no, but she caught him in the stairwell...' or break the 3rd wall with something like "They hooked up last year, but they are both married, they didn't know the other one would be on set', just something like that, not really sure what gets who going, but sometimes if you have a different backstory on a scene, it can make it into almost a new scene.

(I think Lexi Lapetina was in the JerkIt vids wolfy a personal fav, but she wasn't in the Instruction vid so might not be the one)

I'd probably be able to tie in the ability to have audio "suggestions" play at random as you view rounds. It should be rather simple as well since it would be just any files in a given folder.

I like what execedrin wrote. My vote would be for a higher proportion of ass/titty teases or hardcore scenes, but it's more important to have the action mixed up with difficult beats. This is why CH Fail is so damn good. There might be rounds devoted to certain tastes, but it shakes up the content each time so you don't have too many opportunities to cool off. I like vids that are meant to make you fail. 2/3 of CH rounds don't even come close, even if they're good for building tension for later rounds. I don't need that much buildup. One or two rounds of warmup, and it's time to party. No mercy.

I think I'll just have it so there's enough content in my initial release so that I can have a branching path of elements.

If I can figure out how to re-write the structure of CHDB and add additional tags while maintaining its function I might be able to add "tags" to each round such then just let you pick which "set" you prefer based on a number of tags to pick from at the start.

If you could add in a simple interface to add a new video and tag round start/end times by seeking around in the video that would be awesome. Adding in new videos in the old randomizer was a pain unless someone posted the time codes.

(in tool editing of any other meta data would be great to, it sounds like you may be taking advantage of difficulty and such)
