Since yesterday I have been thinking about what happened and how my attitude contributed to it. I think that the challenge was a bit overwhelming, particularly the length of time it will take. I tend to confront challenges head on. I wanted to complete this challenge as quickly as possible. I think that attitude put me at risk for an accident. I plan to proceed more cautiously and slowly, taking breaks when needed. I am trying to accept that this is going to be a long, long time and enjoy it. I may have more reflections tomorrow, but for now thank you for the gentle nudge to get my head straight.

Today marks the end of week 1 of 5ish, and was the first day that I've felt truly denied. Edging is getting more intense, and stopping after each edge leaves me feeling so very frustrated. That, coupled with the fact that I decided not to go back through the thread, means that the small number of edges I do get every day leave me feeling wholly unsatisfied, and still very needy. I can only imagine what the next month is going to be like.

So in short, this is a great game you've got going Della!

As for the lack of pictures, well you could just as to go back to the start. I mean that is sure to get you more edges..... Think about it

Yes I know it is a daunting task, so if you need breaks then I think it is best that you take them. Remember safety first, and you health both mental and physical are the top of the safety list

Stick in there goodman. I for one know how daunting it seems for you. After taking around 40 days to go through half of the thread with the twists I was given. I was thinking about trying to go all the way through to the end, but the allure of the scheme was too great (not to mention all the prodding from Silent about when could we start it ). But I am sure you will show everyone that it can be done.

Thanks for the encouragement Mars. It was your efforts that made me think it was possible. I have been impressed with your feats. I can also understand why you would want to participate in the scheme. The interaction between Silent and you in this game was delightful to witness. The scheme is just incredible.

Thanks! I did consider going back to the start of the thread, but being frustrated is the whole point, right? Having as many edges as I wanted seems to sort of defeat the purpose. That, and knowing myself, I'd want to see if I could make it all the way through the thread, and that seems like it would take much longer than the 36 days I've already signed up for...

Today, feeling ambitious, and taking some inspiration from your's and Banquo's thread, I decided that I'd complete my 9 edges today via a ladder. I've never done a set of ladder edges before, so I didn't really know what to expect. All I can say is wow! In about 15 minutes I'd gone from normal to a horny wreck and used up all my edges in the process.

I don't know if I've ever been this frustrated before. Holding the last edge for 45 seconds was crazy intense, and it took everything I had not to give in and let it ruin. Oh what I would give even for one more edge right now!

I'm also now up to video 23. These infernal things are going to be the end of me. Not being able to touch, after all that edging didn't help calm me down at all.

PS: Good luck tomorrow Goodman on your restart. I don't know how long it's going to take you, but I can agree that long periods of time can be daunting. I'm only just beginning to truly understand just how long a 5 weeks really is, and I've got no idea how long you'll be going for. Keep with it!
