I like the flash teases to a point, but there is a major problem with the way they are implemented with the countdown timers. Here is an example of the problem:
A page loads that says, "Stroke your cock once per second! You better not cum, oh, and look at my feet the entire time!" and a 60 second timer appears. By the time you read that, 5-10 seconds have already passed, and the timer has been running. Is there a way to implement an option for a tease author to add a delay before a timer starts to count down. That would give the user time to read the text, wait a second or two for the timer to begin counting, and follow the instruction properly.
Flash tease... pause before timer

Re: Flash tease... pause before timer
I factor in a five to ten second pause
while the text is read
This is why I stopped
saying do 120 strokes , and the timer is 60 seconds, but 5 are already gone
because of reading
so I write: stroke 2 times a second
I like the idea of a bit of a pause before the timer starts
but think 5 seconds is more realistic
to match reading speed, allow the whole text to be read.
Good idea though
Also I hate that Long timers count everything in minutes
I wish it read Hours, Minutes, seconds
would be a bit easier not having to divide by 60
while the text is read

Some read many times slower or quicker than others. And some don't even really "read" at all. I don't think it would be a good idea to standardize some delay in a timer. There is already enough of a burden on an author, but I see this as his or her own responsibility or preference.
Re: Flash tease... pause before timer
I haven't published a flash tease yet, but I did play around with it a little bit when it was brand new. If I remember correctly, there's an option for a hidden timer. So wouldn't it be possible to have two identical pages, the first with a hidden timer set to 8 seconds and the second with a visible timer for the stroker to count along with? That way you'd be giving your reader orders like, "Stroke really fast for me as soon as this timer starts," and when the 8 seconds are up they'd see the timer and start stroking for a minute or whatever.
Granted that's kind of a clunky solution, but it might do until someone has the time to implement an option in the software.

Re: Flash tease... pause before timer
Good idea, Joel. I was about to say the same thing. Make two identical pages (same pic and text) but the first has a hidden 10 or 15 second timer and the second has a visible 60 second timer.
It wouldn't look like the page changes at all, it will just look like the clock began running down.

I don't really care what gentlemen prefer.

Thanks ThirtyDays. The idea seemed sound in principle, but it's good to know that someone who's done a tease can vouch for it.
