Note about my teases that I downloaded from the site: The TeaseMe debug tool lists parse errors but they don't cause any problems. It is only the loops command at the end of the audio input in the script. The program ignores it so I didn't take the time to remove them from my teases.

I was contacted by a member who asked me to fix d3vi0n's Hd version of Mistress Treated. I downloaded it and found the error. It was a mis-named page id in a delay. I changed the delay target from 41b to page41b so the timer could jump to the page named page41b. No big deal.

All sources are available at https://github.com/takenagat/teaseme if you feel insecure about it. It is written in C# and compiled for Microsoft.NET 4.0. The audio and video are played by interacting with WindowsMediaPlayer.

I can assure you that all it does is read an XML file and show text, images and play audio and video. The download functionality is just grabbing the images and audio used by the online teases from the milovana site and storing them in a local directory (normally in the subdirectory teases next to where you unzip the program.

It is not spyware, it does not collect any information whatsoever, and it can not access anything on your computer that is not in the Teaseme directory. Teaseme is literally nothing more than a slimmed-down variation of Powerpoint slides. A creator chooses text and pictures to create a "slide" followed by buttons and timers to determine what the next "slide" is.

The original program is a visual c# program that will display teases offline in the same way as flash teases do in a browser.
The original source code is available to download.
I have written an android version and an editor for the teases, and again the source code is available to view at the same place the down load is.

I have no connection to the developers of the original other than through this site, and I believe the same is true of them, they are colaborating on the project through this site.

To be honest this type of project is probably safer than visiting a website or buying a comercial game (copy protection is far more likely to screw your machine up or create security issues)

The teases themselves are just a text file and a bunch images, sounds and video files.

There is nothing I have seen in the original source code that would concern me.

The primary aspect that makes both TeaseMe and philo's android project completely safe is the fact that the source code is open for anyone to inspect. It is also easy to ensure the published source code is also in fact the one that has produced the completed program, by compiling it yourself. Several people have done this.

I can definitely confirm the absence of anything fishy in these programs.

The only remaining possibility of any spying going on here would be if Microsoft had embedded fishy stuff for their own purposes in the .NET framework. That is obviously pure conspiracy theory bollocks and not realistic at all.

If you are willing to use Windows as an operating system, and happily use Microsoft or other commercial software in the first place, you accept a much larger risk than you do by using this small open source project

In short: Go for it, enjoy, and feel safe - you can and you should

To anyone who downloaded Are You Man Enough 3: Caprice by pc91: Great tease by the way. My download had a few errors created during conversion. I fixed the problems and made a copy available if anyone else needs it because of the same issue. You will also have to rename the picture in the media folder with the long weird generated # id to caprice-purplebra06 or that page will be blank that calls for that pic id. I didn’t change anything at all. Just fixed the couple problems created during conversion. The downsized pics actually look nice in this one.

Being a bit paranoid is healthy - there are enough good reasons to within modern computing.

Another good thing to keep in mind: A lot of people have been using this application for a long time without a single bad experience this far

I download it and the turtorial is in a winrar. If I am in the tease me frame and try to open the turtorial tease I can not find it. What must I do?

You have given the answer to yourself. Unpack the winrar and put the tease files into your teases folder. Now you can run the tease.
