I spent some time fixing the errors mentioned in the thread:

• the sound-loops-attribute is now handled correctly,
• buttons are responding to if-set/if-not-set condition (thanks coday),
• added experimental support for start-at/stop-at attributes when playing videos.

It's still version 0.1.3 in the source repository. After d3vi0n tested the version, he will make a release and publish it on the first page of this thread. The 'official' version is the one published by d3vi0n, the versions in my github repository are work in progress.

For the next release (0.1.4) I plan to include the following features:

• Support for user prefererences (string-replacement) as suggested by philo,
• Support for saving the state of a tease, so that you continue where you left last time.

How hard is it to convert from old flash teases to teasme? There's a few i'd love to see transferred, would even give it a go myself if it's easy to do but i'm not well versed in flash etc. Things like Neverending story and Indiscretion series look great but i hate using the flash teases on line. There's also some that aren't flash that i would love to see as a teaseme file. Camp Drain spring to mind.

Would these need to be converted by the people that made them or could they send on saved pics and video for anyone to convert them? I know it's a lot of question but a lot of my favourites such as school of denial are linking to missing pages etc now and the longer it goes the worse it will get while converted everything is down on your own computer.

Conversion is pretty simple (I think, I haven't actually done it yet). The xml file is mostly just the code from the Nyx editor.

For non-flash teases, like Camp Drain, you'd have to make a flash version first. Look around and you'll see people have their flash versions of others non-flash and credit the original creators. Going straight from non-flash to teaseme is difficult, since you need the code text from nyx anyways.

Anyone can convert a tease; not just the original author. I'd message the original author and offer to convert it for them. Some of the authors already have plans to do it themselves. Others, especially the ones that don't reply, don't intend to, or have been absent from milovana for several months. I agree that a lot of the older teases are fading away. Teaseme is the best way to preserve them.

Thanks Bandit, so i'd have to learn how to make a flash tease before converting it over. That could be a little difficult but i'll find an old one where the writer hasn't been on for a while just to test if i can do it. Where can i get the nyx editor from and is it easy to learn?

Just a quick reply:

Its even more easy than Bandit224 explained. TeaseMe can import html AND flash teases by itself. You just need the Tease URL (Search the wanted tease on Milovana > Webteases and copy the URL).

For example:

Camp Drain (HTML-Tease): http://www.milovana.com/webteases/showt ... p?id=12017
Indiscretion (Flash-Tease): http://www.milovana.com/webteases/showf ... p?id=12705

In TeaseMe:

(1) Start TeaseMe and click Open a tease Button
(2) Copy Tease URL into field "Tease Url"
(3) Click Load Button (the title and author should be filled after that)
(4) Click Save Button (select a file name for the xml script and start download)

The importer is pretty good and should import the most flash teases (including all images, sounds...) without any error. A few flash teases could cause some errors. In this cases you have to correct the errors in the script after import manually...

Excellent, thanks, i'm just giving it a try now. What about the ones that link to external video etc, is there a way to incorporate it directly?

Yes there is :) Download the video and copy it into the media folder of the tease. Than add or edit the page of the tease, where the video should play. The tutorial demonstrates how you can play videos directly in TeaseMe.

It came up with unexpected html format. Please report including the tease id. Could you tell me how to fix this, i'd rather learn than just have someone else do it otherwise i may end up asking people to solve a lot of these issues, much easier once i know how to sort it myself.

If the URL contains "showtease" TeaseMe expects a HTML-Tease and uses the html-import. But your tease is a flash-tease. The tease seems to be linked wrong on Milovana. Use the following URL instead:

Great, thanks for that, seems easy to use and a great program. Looking at all the things this can do. Once i get the hang of it i may try making my own teases in flash and on teaseme. Haven't tried before as i don't get on with flash but well worth it now.

Yup, that's Norton. The program has a great deal of false positives. Partly because it assumes that any file that has an overflow is a virus. A risky workaround is to disable Norton, download and run the file, then re-enable Norton. Ironically, Norton is much more lenient to files that are already on the computer rather than freshly downloaded ones, and will pass it as okay.

Don't bother with the hotfix though. v.0.1.3 is already out. At least according to a post a few pages back, I haven't actually updated yet.
