Equal thanks to you as well. Like kes says, we know that we can't please everyone. And yet still we try our best.
Ultimately I have to follow my strengths, and I'll admit that less writing/more teasing isn't one of them. I know, I've amassed a small collection of failed attempts at writing teases during those times I sought to break out of lurk mode. I do find it a bit disappointing I can't encompass everyone's tastes with my style, I'm sure a lot of authors feel that way at some point or another. Just as much as we appreciate your thoughts in the feedback forum, we appreciate your thoughts during the tease itself. But at the end of the day I have to identify my own voice and style, and if people like it, that thrills me to no end. If they don't, I will take on everything they have to offer, apply it where I can, but ultimately stay true to myself.
So I thank you for sharing your opinion, and I will assimilate it sincerely as I work on more projects. Who knows, maybe one day our style and your tastes will be standing in line at a movie somewhere, start making small talk, find a couple of common interests, and ultimately become the best of friends!
kes, I appreciate your vote of confidence as well. The first chapter of this series was my first ever tease post, and as much as I've enjoyed seeing it through to the end, this series would have been nothing without your contribution. Thank you so much for working on this with me.
Sorry everyone, I don't mean to sound like I'm giving an Oscar speech here. All this energy isn't about the quality of the series, for better or worse, it's just knowing that it's finally finished.
