Turns out I'm an idiot and forgot to pack the 2 dll files that belong to it. Tried unpacking and didn't work for me either.

I guess I am just a computer idiot. I would love to run this thing but I don't know what to do. Here's what I'm able to do:

1. Download it.
2. Put it in a folder.
3. (nothing else)

What I need to know:

1. What are the pre-requisites? I have a "normal" Windows 7 laptop. Does it have to have special software on it.
2. What are these "fancy" looking files? They look like computer code. I recall back in the good old days when I knew how to make a Radio Shack TRS-80 run on lines of code written in Basic. Is this the same thing?
3. Where do I put the "fancy" looking files?
4. Do I have to have CH videos loaded on my computer somewhere? Where do I put the CH videos?
5. Are there any other questions that I should have asked?

From the very first thread:

You need windows media player and .net 4.5 installed on your PC.
All you need to do is download the app, and drop all the videos into the same folder.

I think that pretty much answers all of the questions. You only have to edit the xml database if you want to play the latest CHs, you just copy and paste the code posted in this forum to the end of the other stuff and save it.

Ah, I hadn't noticed the dot-net requirement. I am not generally using this laptop in any sense for programming, nor had I ever tried to keep it up-to-date as far as its programming-environment and "framework" things would go, so maybe that's why I neglected that requirement. I'm now following your instructions and thinking that they are FULLY being followed, rather than what I did previously, which was follow only parts of the instructions.

Anyway, thanks for the help, and, I hope that's all I'll need to know. I'll post here if it works, or if I have other questions.

BTW, an aside: Moving all my CH vids into the same folder is sure gonna fuck with my Bit-Torrent folders for seeding, dangit! I know that I CAN re-inform the torrent-downloader of the new locations of files that have been moved, either by having the downloader "re check" the files' locations from within after having moved the files while without the downloader, or by using the downloader itself to do the moving, but I have found that either of those processes is very slow and often crashes Bit-Torrent. So, I may not be 100% on the seeding bandwidths for a while as I try to implement this "randomiser" thingie. Once I get Randomiser running, then I'll try to get Bit-Torrent back to running properly with the new file-locations too. Unless there's some way to use sub-directories with the Randomiser?

The text box on the right where the videos are listed actually grows as you go through rounds. It shows just this info, but you have to know to scroll down now that the videos list is longer than the box size.

It's not perfect (a label object that updates with the current round's #s would be nice), but unless Andyp really wants to keep tweaking it, it's functional. If we're putting in requests, I'd also like a much shorter default break time so I don't have to fix it every time I load it. :) Of course, that's mostly because it freezes up on my laptop for some strange reason. Maybe reading it in from the XML file would be best...
