I can see how annoying it must be to recieve constant unwanted PMs all the time. and maybe there is a way people have to ask for a PM before they even have that facility. I guess that is one for Turtle to fathom out.
I can't really see what Nadine is complaining about with regards to censorship as she has clearly posted what in reality is meant to be a private message. It's akin to posting a private email without permission. In one breath she is essentially complaining about someone invading her privacy and in the next she is violating his. Hardly the basis for a relevant argument. However her post has raised some interesting questions.
1. Is there a way we can stop the age old problem of unsolicited PMs?
2. Why is it unacceptable to post what happens in chat on the forums?
3. Should the chat rules be more prominent when entering chat?
Just out of curiosity could I ask for an explanation of why this is from either yourself or Seraphox, Jen?Jenifer wrote:Posting of the chatlogs or of snippets of the logs on the forum is against policy.
The two entities are suppose to remain separated from one another.
Agreed Les, maybe this is something for the coders to work on integrating before you can access chat, maybe a tick box or something.les wrote:Milovana Chat: Code of Conduct
This link should be promonantly displayed on:
http://www.milovana.com/chat/
It was available in the old chat.
In fact the link to the chat room could be at the bottom of the rules page
Though even when it was prominent in the old flashchat people ran riot anyway; breaking the rules with impunity. So I fear this would be ineffective.
And with the added way of gaining access to chat through 3rd party applications it would need to be integrated into that somehow.
