Question about teases

Well.. not question but questions most likely.

Recently been on and off working on my second flash tease and I am at the point in it where I go;
Okay. Do I leave this as purely a T&D tease or branch into other areas.


I personally think that a tease formatted the way I am formatting this one can survive if I branch to much. Which lead me to wondering what the community take is on it.

Do you (as the teasee) like a webtease that attempts to be a Jack of All Trades Master of None. Or a more specialized tease that only dow one fetish?

I think both styles can be entertaining in different ways, I have written teases in both styles and had favourable feedback on both. I think really it all depends on the "feel" of the tease. For example the one I did that focused on one particular theme / fetish fit well because of the pictures I had found for it.

I haven't actually done a flash tease myself for sometime, but when I did used to do them I did enjoy the longer varied ones. But I can definitely see the merit of focusing on something in a tease, it gives a certain atmosphere to the tease I suppose.

It really boils down to personal preference. The Piper teases were basically - and almost without exception - pure tease and denial teases. Personally, I like teases that have a lot of elements in them such as T&D, CBT, and humiliation to name a few. I really wouldn't worry about it and just write what you want. Either way you decide to go, there is the crowd that is going to be happy you chose that direction and a crowd a little bit let down because of it.

My preference would be anything coming from you. Putting my infatuation aside, I would say that you should do both. Make some teases where you employ a lot of your Mistress ways. Make some specialized versions too. Your other tease was great. I wish you could make a tease every day, like a lot of others I suspect.

If you are talking about your current undertaking I wouldn’t risk branching off in it very much if you are worried it will take away from it. You can always do a part 2 or another tease to do the branching ideas. You could make a tease based on each day of your forum sessions, so a tease can have a lot of appeal if it is specialized.

When you know time is going to be at a premium and you won't be able to spend time making any new teases for a while you might want to steer towards a large, harder type jack of all trades tease to cover more bases for your "little ones."

I recommend that you make as many teases as you can. PLEASE! I’m selfish huh. I would have you spending all your time making teases and running your forum games if I had such influence to wield. Honestly, I don’t think you can go wrong with any direction you decide to take. Any offerings from you will be specialized no matter what!

Actually untrue.
The teases that you see getting published day after day. Most likely are all made and written over 2 or 3 days or even a week and not published until the set is done.

Its something I was tinkering with too, as a way to replicate the Seven Days in the forum of webteases, but even as I type this I have a better idea come to my mind. Which is actually part of the tease I am tinkering with now.


The tease I am working on now uses the same idea as my first, ala: taking a journey down the road of the erotic. But doesn't build off of it (meaning you don't need to do the first one, you won't be missing anything like "get these toys before the next time" type of instructions, I simply like the name XD). And I have plans to introduce a chastity element to it (already have a good idea on how).

But the idea was to branch the tease from pure T&D at this point into like 2 paths, based on the teasee's actions. Meaning if you do x you start going towards more T&D, but if you do y then you start going towards more humiliation & pain with less T&D.

It's really just about what you want to do with it.
I mean, there are going to be people who like it and people who hate it either way, so just do which ever way you like best.

Personally, I like to give people choices and let them run through their own path, but there are some teases that make the mistake of adding choices or directions that simply don't make any sense within the context of the story they've written. They've added them simply to "cover" a kink that they wanted in there. That ruins the feel of it. So I'd say, for me, as long as the choices you present fit the theme you've established, give 'em the choice. Otherwise, leave it out.

I say stick with your style
you seem well equipped to handle people with different kinks

Frankly IF you feel like you should do it...
then you probably should.
trust your "gut"
because in the end it drives the creative side

If you don't "feel" it, I strongly advise against adding...
it ends in disaster
I still have one tease I have often debated deleting because it was such a train wreck.
