Can't upload pics in editor
Can't upload pics in editor
I'm trying to use the webtease editor to make a standard webtease. But when I try to save the first page I get a message that I have to select and upload an image first. However, I had already done that and gotten the message that the file was uploaded successfully. It seems to be a bug. Can someone fix it?
Re: Can't upload pics in editor
Please help him. Cactus, your webteases are phenomenal; filled with erotic images and tantalyzing ideas.
Re: Can't upload pics in editor
I just tried it and it worked fine for me. Just to be clear - we're talking about regular webtease, *not* a Nyx/FlashTease?cactusman wrote:I'm trying to use the webtease editor to make a standard webtease. Can you try a different picture from a different series and see if that makes any difference? Can you submit a client report so I know what browser, Flash etc. you're running?
Re: Can't upload pics in editor
I'm using
Browser: Firefox 12 on Windows!
Adobe Flash: Version 11.3.300
Window: 1280x921 in 1280x1024
With that browser I am still getting the same problem. I upload a file, and I see the message that it was uploaded successfully. Then I add some text, and click save page, and then I see the message:
"Please select a file and click Upload before submitting the form."
This happens no matter what image I try to upload, and what method I use to select it (from my own files).
I'll try again with a different browser...

Re: Can't upload pics in editor
I was able to upload the picture using:
Browser: Chrome 19 on Windows!
Adobe Flash: Version 11.3.300
Window: 1280x933 in 1280x1024
So it must be some sort of browser problem. Unfortunately, Chrome is annoying to use for this task, as it doesn't keep paragraph-making blank lines when I paste text into the editor.
Thanks, Les, for the suggestion about Firefox 13, I'll try installing that...

Re: Can't upload pics in editor
I updated to the latest Firefox, which I filed another client report on. It's
Browser: Firefox 13 on Windows!
Adobe Flash: Version 11.3.300
Window: 1280x904 in 1280x1024
And I also tried running Firefox with all my add-ons disabled. But still I have the same problem with Firefox...

Hopefully the update rules out Firefox as the culprit.
If memory serves Seraph0x is playing around with the tease databases.

Re: Can't upload pics in editor
Shouldn't affect regular teases, those changes should only affect Nyx.les wrote:If memory serves Seraph0x is playing around with the tease databases.
@cactus: I know you already tried disabling addons. But some kind of addon or extension-related problem is still the most likely culprit. Maybe try Safe Mode and see if that changes anything. Instructions here.

Re: Can't upload pics in editor
I just tested out the classic editor and it uploaded a pic for me. I previewed it and it worked fine so hopefully the problem is fixed or it must be your browser like you said, and not the site.
Re: Can't upload pics in editor
Yeah I obviously tested in Firefox 12 and 13 in various configurations right away, I can't reproduce the problem so far. Waiting now to hear whether Safe Mode helps. If so, it's most likely an extension problem of some kind. If not, I'm a bit stumped to be honest, maybe a plugin (those are handled separately in Firefox) or firewall problem would be next on my list.Sexytimes 5 wrote:I just tested out the classic editor and it uploaded a pic for me. Re: Can't upload pics in editor
I tried safe mode in:
Browser: Firefox 13 on Windows!
Adobe Flash: Version 11.3.300
Window: 980x891 in 1280x1024
and still have the problem that it seems to upload the file successfully, but when I click on "Save Page" it says that I have to first upload a picture (same error mentioned before).
So no joy there...

Re: Can't upload pics in editor
It kinda seems like the uploader Flash widget can't communicate with the host page. This is probably some kind of security-related issue. I've updated the security properties for the uploader, can you give it another try?
Are you running a firewall or antivirus software with a web filtering option?
