Should I get a sex swing?

Post by dirac »

I'm in a long time committed relationship and we've been trying to keep things fresh. So the other day I just so happen to see an ad for a sex swing on craigslist. (Not going to get a used one) So this made me start think about all the interesting positions that we could try if we set one up. So I was just looking to hear some opinions about sex swings, are they worth it and any other input on the subject.

do you have a really stong beam in the center of a room that will hold 200 pounds plus? that you can secure the swing to?
and is it in a place where you would feel comfortable using it without your friends seeing it when they stop over?

We do have a room with a beam that would work but yes it is not the bedroom. Would it be difficult and/or time consuming taking it down when we're done and putting it back up when we want to try something with it?

well you need a very secure "anchor"
usually a swing just unhooks which take not to much time
but you are talking some serious anchors you have to know what your doing because not only is there a bit of weight but the weight will be moving
which means a higher "load" so whatever weight your partner is make sure to go way over that
for the anchor hooks

also you have to consider would you partner Want to be swinging naked in that room?
are there a lot of windows? is it close to a front or rear exit door?
sex swings are a wonderful idea but practiclly there a lot of work.

I very much wanted one but never had a celing that would support the wight
but I did fair amount of research

If your parnter is okay with the idea, and that room
you can go for it

Thank you for your input

It sounds like the main concern would be the anchor. I never thought that it would be difficult to setup but now I know. My partner weighs 120ish I think (not something I ask) so how much weight should the anchor be able to handle?

As for the issue with windows and whatnot that wouldn't be an issue since we have curtains and blinds.

Thanks again
