Danny, I've got a sneaking suspicion that since all2true started the thread, you believe he's seeking feedback on one of his own teases. He actually started this thread to give feedback to Princess Raquel's "Watch Me, Watch You" tease.

Trying new ideas is essential to the growth of anything, and I admire all authors who stray into undiscovered country to try something new. all2true is such an author, and he made a post to give feedback to Raquel who was making a trip into undiscovered country herself.

You haven't written a tease. That isn't a roundabout way of saying "until you've written a tease, you can't talk", not at all. I don't think you really empathize with what it feels like to put your own hard work out there, especially one that throws a magnifying glass over something as inherently hidden and often fragile as one's sexuality. It's no easy task to get all of those words out, nor is it easy to be secure enough to face the scrutiny of hundreds of people. Everyone who has ever put together a webtease and made it visible has my respect for that alone.

I would imagine it is very hard to be a second submatt, but last time I looked, I didn't see anyone trying to be a second submatt. I love submatt's work as much as anyone. He was a legend. But since when was he the standard that authors should strive for? We're all unique people with our own unique contributions to make, and I would argue we serve ourselves best that way. Even suggesting the idea that it's hard to be a second submatt undermines the efforts of everyone here who has ever written a webtease.

And while I've already said I don't personally care for the marriage of classical art and webteasing, I'll go one step further and say I don't much care for classical art either. Yet I see it everywhere and I get on just fine. We both personally hate the idea of classic art webteases, and yet I encourage it and you want to take a hammer to it. You come across like you have a difficult time differentiating objective reality from subjective perception. I only make this statement because I remember someone else who seemed to have the same problem, and he went on a multi-thread rant about how submatt's flash efforts "sucked". It didn't make it true in that instance either, it was just one person's opinion. Opinions can be pretty destructive though, and if you're not careful you could very easily crush your future submatt 2.0 without even realizing it.
