'Batman' pulled over by police in Maryland

Post by les »

One crimefighter confronted another in this video of a traffic incident.

A man was pulled over dressed as the caped crusader in Montgomery County, Maryland, because his car had invalid numberplates.

He was told to put real numberplates on the Lamborghini, rather than a Batman sign.

He said he was on his way to cheer up children on the cancer ward of a local hospital.

The driver was not charged.

Well, it's good to hear that not everywhere in the world the law is over people. I heard the story of a baker who run his store in a small town near the city where I live. After closing his shop at evening he would take all the bread he hadn't sold and donate it to a local poorhouse. But then the tax police found it out, and they charged him about $40,000 tax for that bread (in my country the average net salary is $1500/month). I don't need to add that his bakery went bankrupt and he still pays the debt. There are so many other examples of people who want to help and get smashed by the huge beaurocracy machine losing everything they have.

Then again........
Dressing up as Batman, and taking a drive in a Lamborghini without tags....
It doesn't exactly scream well-adjusted, law-abiding citizen, does it? :-D
Kudos to the guy for his charity-work, but seriously, he couldn't have changed into the costume AT the hospital?

OTOH, it's not as if all law-enforcement personnel are Mensa candidates either.......

Batman was law-abiding?
really?
most of it was vigilante style
and the dark knight stuff
often goes very into illegal areas

I mean I NEVER EVER saw batman serve a warrant
on the old TV show OR in the movie

Excuse "joker" You have the right to an attorney
I am not sure there WAS a warrant on some of the people put away.

Image what fun a real lawyer would
have
Your honor clearly my client is a victim of vigilante justice
no notice of was given, his(her) rights were not read all the evidence was obtained without a warrant
In fact the how do we know Batman did not plant the Glove in the first place (reference to OJ trial)

No, not really. Hence the 'doesn't' ;-)

Besides the legal issues of Batman, there is perhaps something else to consider about that superhero......
1) An older guy with
2) a side-kick, younger, also male
3) both masked, and clad in skin-tight leather.......

Sure.....Nothing wrong with that picture.

Why did Batman trade his cool tank car for a Lamborghini?

It only gets better. In the comics, Batman and Robin slept in the same bed...
