The chat seems to have just given up and died now.

and never actually connects
usually this requires a reset
but only2 or 3 people can do this
which means you have to wait for one of them to log on and realize the problem and reset chat
sometimes there are complication and it can take a few days.

But It is free and we appreciate that there is a chat room!

Even less accurate this time.
Whatever the cause is a simple restart that I can do can't be done. I have the link of the panel where I can get the restart chat option, it won't let me. It requires me to be connected to the chat and logged it. Otherwise it won't recognize me as having access.

There's some major flaws in the system - one of the largest being, if you haven't bookmarked the Admin page prior to the crash, you can't get to it. *Hint to Jen for the future*

As for software resets, yes, that's an option in the Admin pane, but as far as I'm aware, Jen doesn't have the access. I did, Seraph0x does, and Dark does (though he rarely comes around anymore), but past that, everybody else on the Admin list had restricted access. So ... not much Jen can do. Seems the ball rests squarely with Ph0x - again.

Even you've gotta admit Ph0x, the Team of One isn't getting much done ...

I have above admin access to the panel. But as part of Indy's post said. I had to bookmark the panel login prior to the crash. I tried to access the panel post crash with the link and was denied access.

Tonight I will bookmark the panel that is once chat resumes.


And jp I have all the access I need to run the chat. I just have yet to poke much of it but what is absolutely needed. With all the ppl who use the chat I do not want to screw up one thing and cause it to crash for hours on end until seraph can be reached to haul it up. Or till I can figure out how to undo it whixh could take a while.

Calm down everybody. Even if I had been around, there is nothing that I can do when the server is offline. I can open a ticket with the hosting company, but since it's a VPS they do their own monitoring and if it's down they usually know before I do.

As for the quality of service at that hosting company: Yes, I know they have a lot of downtime, but they are also by far the cheapest. You get what you pay for.
