slow chat, no images

As Most know
there is now
Lag time in chat
it could possibly be the host server..

But it is Now impossible to post pictures on chat
Where just a month ago it was fine

Jump suddenly or "freeze"
I am not the only person that experienced this difficulty.

It appeared no mater if I am using crome or IE7
even when my computer internet speeds are fine and there are few people in chat.

Thanks for the info. The chat server has always been a problem child, not sure why it's even worse now. It's mostly a budget issue, but I'll see if there is anything I can do.

Surprisingly, it doesn't seem to be an issue with the server's performance at all. In fact the load is pretty low at the moment.

So I looked around and I noticed that the DNS servers that the host provides are extremely slow. I switched over to Google's public DNS and that seems to have helped some already.

I also noticed severe packet loss (bad network) and I've raised a ticket about it with the provider.

They replied, packet loss is now fixed.

Oda just uploaded a crapton of images, so I'm gonna tentatively declare this issue fixed. Please keep me posted if any issues re-arise.
