Rules:
The nominations are the 5 highest rated teases of the month. If two webteases have the same rating, the webtease with more votes will rank higher.

In case of a tie, a final round of voting will take place. Only the teases that were part of the tie can participate and the voting time is decreased to two days, to grant the winner's tease as much time as possible time on our front page.

Only one tease per author can participate. We'll use only the best rated tease for authors with multiple qualifying teases.

The voting system should be separated from the webtease itself. Hence webteases encouraging a vote for the TOTM to manipulate the system will not be nominated at the end of the month regardless of ranking.

The prize is a special user rank in our forum and a mark in the "Browse Teases" area.

If any issues happen that are not clarified by these rules the Team of Milovana has the right and the duty to adjust the rules for finding the best and most fair solution to overcome this issue. There is no way for participants to affect a decision by the Team.

I'm happy to have my tease (Topping from the Bottom) included, especially since I only published it on the very last day of the year. I hope people like it, as it's a very unusual tease from a number of perspectives.

CH Flux 5 should have been nominated. Everyone knows this. the ratings attacks continue.
The attacker however is not doing it as blatantly. But make no mistake CH flux 5 = under 4 rating = 100% attacked.

These allegations aren't new so I've been trying to get a handle on it. I don't have any powers that you don't so I am limited as to what I can check. The following is what I have come up with so far:

CH Flux 5---- Was viewed 7388 times to date.
---- 198 people voted.
---- 2.6% of people viewing voted.

----- 227.2 is the average number of votes for the teases posted just before CH Flux 5
----- 198 Votes for CH Flux 5
----- 184.3 is the average number of votes for the teases posted just after CH Flux 5

As you can see CH Flux 5 falls right about where you would expect it to.

----- There were 3 CH teases posted in December. They averaged 168.6 votes each.
----- There were 3 CH teases posted in November. They averaged 168.6 votes each.
( I double checked and the above is correct)

I will continue to monitor this as well as anomolies that show up with other teases.

If anyone notices anything funny let me know so I can take a look at it.

I did a little more checking into the software end of things. I didn't realize how easy it is to cheat. According to the software people there is no way to fix it except not allowing guests to vote which Phox has already done (on Polls). I think we will just have to live with what we have until the software is updated to correct that problem.

Seraph confirmed that there was an attack on CH teases in Nov. Since the number of votes is higher in december, it would be consistent for there to have been an attack on CH in December.

You can't assume that CH flux 5 was attack just because it has a rating under 4. Do you think that every tease under 4 has been attacked, or that cock hero is just soooo good that everyone who does it gives it a 4 or 5? Maybe you should just face facts - to some people, its great; to others, it's decent; and to others, it sucks. There's no accounting for taste.

Since the number of votes is higher in december, it would be consistent for there to have been an attack on CH in December.

The total number of votes on a tease is going to be somewhat correlated with the number of people voting in general, and that's going to be correlated with the number of people viewing teases in general. If more people visit in december, there are going to be more votes. Now let's look at the data Wyatt provided:

Here we see a pretty steady downward trend in number of votes. Furthermore, the rating (3.9) is pretty high up there, about where CH teases usually are (3.8-4.2). being 0.1 off is probably best explained by a random variation in who's doing the tease.

To me, it looks like the attacks in november were probably an isolated event, perhaps by someone looking to get his/her tease into the running for that month. Without any confirmation regarding IP-related vote sources from seraph0x, declaring an attack seems hasty, and to be honest, reeks of fanboyism.

What you're not understanding is how explanation works - sure, it *could* be an attack, but it could also be many other things. Maybe people's tastes did change. Maybe there's an error in the coding for the voting system. Maybe a bunch of people misclicked. Maybe a bunch of people all have their own separate vendetta against cock hero, and are all using their single vote to attack it individually. Maybe this one had some content that hit a nerve with some people (like cocks all over the screen - some people seem to be afraid of cocks :P) that made them not like this one as much as the rest, and there's a bunch of honest low votes.

So yeah. All that statistics can show is correlations, which do not imply causation, especially since all these other explanations haven't yet been filtered out. Maybe you should get off your "jump to conclusions" mat.

I for one tried the early cock hero teases but have not the later as I felt the idea was samey albeit with variations,
Perhaps others feel the same.

Also once you have downloaded the video the tease itself has no repeat visitors,
I suspect some download from the forum links and never even open the tease
As I have done, more than once.

I am lucky with my broadband a section always take less than 5 minutes to download.
there are many complaints of long download times.
And corrupted files.

I think the cock hero system deserves a separate section to itself.

I envisage five at least types Classic, Flash, Audio, Cock Hero(video) and Audio.

I don't think that's such a good idea. While the mere existence of cock hero might or might not cause problems for the site (seems a bit iffy to me), I can see some pretty big problems arising if the series is "officially" recognized by Milovana.

I mean, cock hero is basically just pirated movies + pirated music. I don't think a fair use case could be made for something like this. We could debate all day long on the ethics of piracy...but it's just a simple fact that there's legal issues involved. Giving CH its own category seems like a tacit admission that the site endorses piracy to me.

The issue isn't there, at least not as much, with classic or flash teases; as the pictures are pulled either from kink.com (with which milo has a partnership) or from free galleries - and the text/scripts are entirely original.

If it becomes a "SOPA" or other problem then it can be cauterised very simply.

I don't think we will ever know, for sure, if the nominations for December were artificially tampered with. Human and alliteration have shown both sides of the coin very well.

In my research of board software it appears all forums that rank posts are having similar problems. On our particular software there have been numerous requests for fixes and a few fixes have been attempted. All of the proposed fixes have been abandoned without all the bugs being worked out, some after two years of work. My take on this is that it is a universal problem with no easy fix. I know I don't have an easy fix.

This is where you fellow Milovanians come in. Can any of you come up with a better way to nominate teases for TOTM/FTOTM that doesn't involve software?
