Don't worry, we'll fix it. And we won't even need to go get the backups, because the posts in the database are perfectly alright, it's just an encoding issue. I'll get on it right away.

Edit: Fixed all I could find. If there are any other posts from before the update that are either truncated or contain garbled characters (like so: …), let me know right away please.
