Gremlin's?

Anyone know how to deal with Internet gremlin's?
I have a wi-fi server that seems to not
want me online
I am getting convinced I have a gremlin.
Not a spirit, or poltergeist, but a gremlin.

The power cord acts up
then the antenna acts up they they trade
so I finally get internet working
for a few minutes
and poof problems again
and then there are days whole days with no problems at all.

I am not looking for a solve it tech problem
I am looking for a good way to deal with the gremlin?
Do I put out something (salt?)
or take away something?
Seriously,
I want to know any ideas you may have,
for dealing with gremlins
If you believe it is a different sprite, faerie,
that advice would be appreciated as well.

Wi-Fi can be very sensitive to location.
I suggest the aerials be as high as is practical.
and positioned so as to travel through the least amount of solid walls.

You can also get "Larger aerials" which are just screw on replacements.
Check first as not all aerials can be changed.

With laptops the aerials are usually the screen mounting brackets and so twisting/rotating the laptop may give better reception.

yeah! just be sure to never put water on them! it only spawns more bad gremlins! and i've heard its not good for the computer either lol

It may be not a gremlin, but an imp!



Imps are very mischievous creatures, often the pets of witches. They crave human attention, and try to get it by pulling pranks. The best course of action is to completely ignore it until it gets bored. However, if you feel like a quest, imps often have some object they are bound to, much like genies or liches. Destroying or moving this object will also solve the problem. But remember...
