I don't think anybody disagrees with your opinion of it being not normal. I think that idea is pretty basic. They were disagreeing more with you calling it "wrong." That word has a very negative connotation, implying that a male being submissive is like some sort of sin that one should try not to be, similar to how many people feel gays should purposefully suppress their sexuality.

Haven't I already explained that there's a difference between "normal" and "mentally healthy"? There's no "sick twist in the brain" here; and if you think there is, well, then explain why the DSM-5 distinguishes between paraphilias and paraphiliac disorders.

Simply put, having a kink is neither a necessary nor a sufficient condition for mental illness.

My own personal belief (backed up by years of psychological research, incidentally) is that the only truly abnormal sexual behavior is to have absolutely none at all.

People have different psychological and physical needs. It's just like when you get a craving for a particular food. Engaging in that particular activity releases certain hormones in the brain/body that cause us to feel a certain way. Engaging in those acts gets us those feelings, so we're satisfying a basic need. How does any of that make us "twisted?"

If you look at the kink from a moral standpoint, ... and by the way, I don't think it's fair to do that ... then yeah, we're all pretty "left of center", so to speak.

If you look at it from a purely physical standpoint, the goal in engaging in our preferred mode of sexuality is merely to obtain physical gratification - which is an absolutely normal response.

So, basically, I think we all sort of define what's normal, and what's not, and then we make the mistake of applying the same stereotypical roles to everybody else, which isn't fair. We're taking criteria that we've established for one person, and applied it to everybody.

Every mental deviation and abnormal behaviour comes from the brain. That IS a twist in a brain, and let me tell you that we all have different oddities and twists, bigger or smaller. We all have something that others won't agree with or find strange or weird. Off course it's not that much of a twist as to claim mentally sickness (although I heard that homosexuality is considered one).
