"Islamistic"
"Islamistic"
That's not a word that makes any sense, first of all. Second, sexual teasing is what it is. ANY religious overtones are out of place. This tease needs to come down.
Re: "Islamistic"
This has been bothering me all day.
While I believe everyone is entitled to thier own opinion and I agree with the owner and the mods of this site that everyone is entitled to free speech, hence the odd I need a domme one page tease. Hate speech gets a special exception, sterotypes get a special exception.
This one needs some mod attention.

Okay, it IS in poor taste, and the antithesis of "politically correct". That said, i did get a chuckle out of it.
I suppose that means i have poor taste. Yep, yep, i do.

Re: "Islamistic"
I agree, I believe this tease mocks the culture and religious beliefs and is not a good representation of what this site stands for. It should come down
Re: "Islamistic"
This "tease" is stupid all around. Even the "political" points that were made were made in an incoherent unintelligent fashion. Next thing you know we are going to start seeing teases about the Presidential election.
This kind of thing has no place on this site.

Re: "Islamistic"
I really don't see the point of this "tease". The addressee of this "tease" seems to be a fundamentalist religious person, which you will certainly not find on this site. Otherwise the person wouldn't be a fundamentalist.
There are certainly people on this site which are religious, but they are not in any way more responsible for the views or actions of religious fanatics than we all are. By putting this form of criticism on this site the author just mocks the ordinary religious persons and between the lines suggests that they are connected to the addressee of this "tease". Why else would he put the "tease" on this site?
While criticism of religions certainly has its place, it should be done in an arguing way which fits the audience and first of all not on this site! Milovana is no place for discussions about religion or politics.
I vote for deleting this "tease"!

Personally, I think it should be more critical towards the culture rather than towards the religion.
I don't know how much sense that makes, but that's my two cents.

Re: "Islamistic"
This would be offensive to even a moderately observant Muslim, I suppose, and possibly to others. The bottom line for me is: it's not a good tease and it makes no effective and clearly discernible point that I can see.
I see no reason to delete the tease. I am surprised, however, that anyone would enter a rating on it other than 1, unless they were entertained or aroused by the photos, one or two of which are editorially amusing.

Re: "Islamistic"
Look, Im not one who is very active in the forums here on Milovana, but sometimes I feel the need to say something. This tease just shows a lack of respect. I get the feeling that the author is mocking Islam. There have been other teases with religious themes but they were tastefully done. And I do agree with the idea of free speech here on Milo but c'mon, is there really a place for a tease like this?

Re: "Islamistic"
Upon additional reflection, I find it interesting that I cannot recall a conversation anything like this in response to the one or two teases that portrayed naughty nuns. As a political/religious statement the tease being discussed is no more or less offensive than those, from my point of view. The one difference might be that Catholic boys sometimes fetishize nuns, but even then, is this so different? It's worth reiterating though: This is not a very good tease. I think that's why people are reacting to it. It is transparent to me this "tease" was created to make a political point. And I see no reason to ban or delete political "teases", but I do think it's very appropriate to call them out as being socially inappropriate, if that's how you feel.
I also think it is okay to point out when a "tease" is pointless or impossible to comprehend, as I do in the case of "Islamistic".

Re: "Islamistic"
Oh wow, people... What year is this? We need to stop thinking that because something offends another person's beliefs, it should be censored. "But you're gonna hurt their feelings!" Let their feelings get hurt, then. Let them grow. I encourage all you complainers to take your best shot at offending me. You don't even have to be mildly indirect about it, like the tease was. Call me as many names as you like and see how much I care. If somebody says something genuinely offensive to people, they're only making a fool of themselves, so let them do that.
Religion shouldn't be something special that is immune from being parodied. If you're interested in my opinion, god exists just as much as the tooth fairy and Santa Clause; he is just another human creation designed to control and extort those who are too naive to think for themselves. I am not saying believing in god is bad. Clearly, some people need this delusion of a god who gives you a higher purpose in order to live moral lives. If this opinion of mine offends you, then I suggest you pause and consider why it does.

Re: "Islamistic"
Awesome!
I love a new tease idea
actually I have heard , from Muslims
that it is better to see a leg or even have her naked than see her face, so well done!
Not sure how my favorite Imam would feel about it publicly,
but privately I am sure he would enjoy it!
Yes I have a very good friend who is an Imam.
I view this with the other 'religious' teases like Heaven and Hell...
I would have included either: a very submissive women talk
or more directions for guys to create more controversy!
but very well done!
feel free to write another,
and remember a lot of people hated one of my early teases too!

Re: "Islamistic"
I actually liked the idea of muslim faith in a tease, I think the last pic is strangely very erotic for example.
The problem with the tease in contrast to the one with nuns. It isn't actually a tease, the start and ending are fuelled with a view that has nothing to do with teasing. If the author had been clever enough to write a tease that was good and between the lines had a little bit of criticism about for example the muslim inequality for women, but overal being what it had to be: a good tease. If that were the case I would have no problem with it and any offense taken would be unfounded.
As it is however the poor taste and misplaced connection to this site. Make it a pretty bad tease.

Re: "Islamistic"
I don't think the Islamistic tease should be censored. I tend to agree with Evals on this issue. I think all the people complaining about this are not themselves Muslims and were not personally offended, but are just somehow worried about other people being offended. But hopefully everyone here is an adult, and should be able to deal with it themselves.
The real problem is that people want to censor teases that they personally don't like. Let me give you a demonstration of that. My Erica and Kara series has the hero (you) being a Christian fundamentalist from a southern US state. Also my Hot Summer at Model's Retreat series, similarly has the hero (you) being a Christian fundamentalist. But no one complained about them as being hurtful to Christians. So I think people are just imagining reactions of Muslims, and what they are really complaining about is their own perception of the quality of the Islamistic tease.
This thread of forum posts is part of a larger trend of arrogance and intolerance among the milovana community, so I'm sorry to see it. This is not the way to encourage creativity among tease writers. I think the only problem with the Islamistic tease is that it isn't very good as a tease (apparently, for the people who complained above). And because of that, people seem to get all bent out of shape. What they should say is "Thank you for contributing your tease to our community. Now, I think it could be better if you changed it in this way..." But instead people want to have whatever they don't like taken down, which is a shame.
I myself have put up with a milder form of criticism about my work, as many people wrote in the forum that they didn't like: (a) classic (non-flash) teases, (b) teases that have stories instead of just a list of explicit stroking instructions, or (c) teases that are written with unfamiliar writing techniques, etc. For these faults me and my work have been lambasted by various people in these forums as "not webteases" and as things that should be removed and put only in the story forum, etc. I have also gotten some encouragement from others, which I thank them for, but I have to say it puts a real damper on my enjoyment to have people (especially those who have never written a webtease) say such negative things. The community would be a better place if everyone tried to be more encouraging of creativity.

Re: "Islamistic"
Censoring "hate speech" isn't tolerance, it is intolerance. Tolerance is letting other people have their opinions, even when you disagree with them strongly. Fucking especially when you disagree with them strongly.chastity wrote:This has been bothering me all day.

I have very little respect for people who want to censor for any reason. To me the hate speech censor is worse than the hate speaker because the censor actually is intolerant, whereas the speaker is only talking about it. Obviously if the speaker or any of his audience act on it, they should be treated like any other criminal. But the mere thought or speech is not and must not be illegal.
The only things we'll remove are obscenity, defamation, incitement to riot, fighting words, anything that violates laws in the US or Switzerland, anything fictionally or visually underage, anything violating copyright, anything that's automated or otherwise blatant and valueless spam (advertising for commercial products or services) and anything that otherwise violates our terms of service. We're a hosting company and don't editorialize.
As for this particular tease - the author went through the trouble of adding a disclaimer at the beginning and I can't even find anything hateful in it, mere disrespect/satire and bad English do not imply hate.
