Most of these images looks like they work best if you know the board that they come from. Of course, you can always just use some random number generator (google search) and then have at it.

Thanks for the replies, I did figure at first a stroke was a full up and down motion but wanted to see if everyone differently or if it was common knowledge.

I understand the pace thing a little better now but I guess it will take some time to get use to.
