splitting threads

Post by les »

Sometimes when a thread wanders off topic,
It may be better starting a new thread or adding to another alternate thread

Yes I agree it helps with continuity.

My suggestion would be that the Moderator who decides to move a thread if possible do this:

Make a Brand New Thread The first post of which would explain the reason comments were being moved, give a time of when they are moved and a trace of which moderator moved it. Then simply merge the comments into that thread.

Not sure if that would work with out system, if not a simple edit of the first post would suffice detailing reasons time and who moved it. It wouldn't take much effort to do this.

Yes but when moving a thread such as this one which was moved yesterday http://www.milovana.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=9067

there is no way of knowing who moved it or at what time of day. It just looks like I started this as a new thread on tuesday
