Our member's genders are more like art pieces and less like consumer goods from a factory. Together, we are learning that there is a difference between being "unique" and being "alone."

We emphasize GENDER JOY instead of gender dysphoria or conformity, even if some of our members are microdosing that new sensation.

It takes practice and a safe space to develop authentic personal expression (through clothes, makeup, hair, movement, using our voices and more). We need consistent room to make mistakes, take supported risks and dare to go further each month.

Positive feedback and "getting away with it" builds confidence! Taking small risks with each other and succeeding together builds community. Some of us have an active life, full time in our genders of choice and others have no safe place to express a secret side of themselves. We don't make any rules about femininity, masculinity, pronouns, medications or medical procedures.

"The Crossdressing Club" has experimented with many names over the years, including Gender Adventurers, Gender Blenders and our original "Sissy Night" (twelve years ago that was reclaiming a slur). We struggle to find a name that is all-inclusive of our vast spectrum; some of us will never transition but around 1/3 of our members do. There is a healthy contingent of nonbinary and medically intersexed people who find fellowship among us and cis folks that respectfully enjoy our company.

You are whoever you are and we are ready to whole-heartedly support each other, in all our unique forms. Even if you are not yet brave enough to join us on Zoom or in person, please consider allowing yourself to dress up in solidarity with our events. You deserve to wear clothing that feels good.

We are a unique social club that started as an excuse to party while dressed in cute outfits and has now grown into a network of online discussion groups, pageants, dinner parties, munches, movie nights and field trips to things like Folsom Street Fair, Pride parades, musicals, operas, baseball, hockey, soccer and more. Our online discussion group is on the 2nd Thursday of every month, via Zoom. You don't have to turn your camera on, but we appreciate when you do! There are provocative questions as well as time to socialize.

We meet in San Francisco at Folsom Street Community Center on the 3rd Wednesday of each month (changing space available), with an afterparty at the Cat Club. Participation in the various "themes" is encouraged but not required.

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed & Something Blue... the Brides of March had a little bit of everything this year, including cupcakes and a bouquet toss!

There is a special power in a wedding gown that embodies purity but also hints at the sexy times coming on the wedding night. A Bride is poised between Virgin and Whore; occupying a unique place of feminine power that makes patriarchy delightfully nervous!

We enjoyed many ways to interpret wedding gowns across history, styles, colors and modesty levels, some subversive and some Modern Bride magazine ready! "The Perfect Dress" came to some of us online or at a thrift store, but several members were brave enough to indulge in the unique luxury of in-person bridal shopping with all the pampering that comes with buying bespoke clothes.

Bring clean clothes that don't fit you and please take some of ours that feel right. Consider this an alternative to purging, especially if your tastes or sizes have changed. Our volunteer stylists enjoy helping each other find the perfect new look!

No selling clothing at the Clothing Exchange, please - it is all meant to be given away freely. Any disputes between people wanting the same piece of clothing will be decided by a stripping contest!

We won't let the in person group have all the fun this year! The Zoom Pageant for the Mx Online CD Club 2024 crown will be May 9th.
