Had a few firewall issues, should be fixed now! Thanks for reporting :-)
Thats my fault, I had some security concerns regarding amber leaking the pattern + length of IDs.
Did some pentesting, amber has indeed monitoring running and probably blocked all income traffic.

- ID Security, check
- Bruteforce monitoring, check
- Pictures without metadata, check
- Awesome work by amber, check

Since no one is talking about this Aspect at all.
The main Goal is supposed to be Blackmail, nontheless hasnt a single one yet reported about actually being blackmail via the given email nor the second one from the supposed "gf" or similiar.

Is that actually the main point? Or is the 25$ voucher from the hyperlink, the endgame?

What voucher? After I clicked the 'I gave you the money' and the tease basically said things were done, there's no seeing that again. I didn't actually toss money towards someone, $25 is an expensive 5-10 minute tease in any case.
It's 'give me $25 via this Amazon link' or I give out the information you didn't want the other person know about to the email address you provided. I usually go to Milovana to have a fantasy experience and not actually have the thought of someone is going to take money at the threat of giving secrets to the email address given. I see it this way, you go to have some fun thinking it's all for pretend and then realize that the platform you were on that you felt was safe has tossed the info you put into Milovana to an external place that you have no control over where it went and you need to trust that this isn't some guy somewhere in HaitAfKazakhRanQistan calling himself Mistress Amber who will remind you about the information you tossed out months down the road to your own email and not threaten for more money to withhold your secrets. There's literally no way to know who has the information and pictures taken being tossed to that external link and how it could possibly be used.

I went through the tease but I'm not dumb enough to toss my real info into it and did notice the link leaving Milovana and went to the link without the extra characters and saw it was invalid, but since I put in all fake info and email addresses and was curious what it would do, I just ran through it and then at the end seeing a demand to send money to an external source to keep your information and pictures secure. I don't call sending information to an unknown third party through an external site to be low risk. Literally tossing name, location, information and an email address of a person you know who don't consent to your kink, secrets to an unknown person who you have no clue of their true intent. I originally was surprised when I saw it all and thought it would be removed and when it was removed, it made a bit of sense why it would be, but I don't see at this point why it should be trusted.

Hey I'm not sure that's a good way to talk about someone holding so much personal information we decided to give her

Nobody can question the educational value of the tease if they just read the written statements in this thread... it's a nice read to learn about the different stages of accepting that you have been tricked. Although, as most nice things, it will probably end when the horny and the crazy wear her down with insane DM's, because that is the nature of the horny and the crazy  .

In my opinion in the western world, $25 is like minimum salary for an IT specialist to work for 1 hour, and I suspect she's been working for several days with this project -> you have my written statement of approval here that every $25 is both deserved and a very modest price to ask for all her work.

No idea what you mean with "giving" in a phrase with "decided"

If you like to live in fairytales thats fine.
But like he said already, even if shes a 100% honest here; in the end no one knows.
Could be someone with fairly nice intentions. Also could be someone doing shit with the data you "gave", ip, location etc. from the website you visited.

Just a matter of time, somebody is going to exploit this and do very harmful things.
If its that easy to export data from localStorage, from milovana, its Sad.

Saying, not giving real informations while having an open connection to a server from someone, is probably the dumbest statement to make.

Played this but had to abandon as could not complete humiliation tasks at the time I was testing it.

Can you complete the tease by co.pleting the tasks or is it by payment only?

Love the idea of having a k8nky friend get my photos if I fail

oh god this was amazing!
Haven't had this kind of excitement in a while, I was literally trembling while doing it. The humiliating tasks were thrilling and interesting. I loved it. But so sad that it got removed, at least I managed to experience it! thank you Mistress Amber!

After reviewing the tease, I've decided to remove it from the site.

It is very rare for me to intervene and remove a tease - after all, the site is about sharing teases freely and too much moderation can have a chilling effect on creativity and free expression. However, in some cases, we intervene if we believe it is necessary for legal reasons, the safety of our community, or other important concerns.

Regarding This Tease

This was a very interesting case and I am impressed by the ingenuity of the author. @mistressamber: Thank you for creating this innovative tease and I truly hope that having it removed doesn't discourage you from participating in our community in the future.

The reasons I decided to remove the tease are:
  • Because the technique used (encoding information in an external link) bypasses the security protections afforded by the Eos sandbox. In other words, the user isn't trusting the tease author with their information, they are trusting Eos and we have to do what we can to live up to that trust. We will tighten security to make this type of exploit more difficult to do in the future. (More details in the "Planned Eos Changes" section of this post.)
  • Because the tease attempts to collect personal information of a non-consenting third party (name & email address of someone other than the user).
  • Because the tease cannot be completed without revealing personal information. Since BM is edge-play, we don't want to pressure users into it. They should be able to (pre-)view the whole tease without engaging in risky practices if they so choose. Simply entering fake information does not meet this criterion because the user still has to contact an external server, revealing their IP address, user agent, etc.
  • Because the tease cannot be completed without payment to the author (as part of the BM.) We allow authors to publish teases that contain some bonus content for subscribers/supporters but the main path through the tease must be able to be completed and enjoyed without payment.
I want to highlight and appreciate that there were many positive factors such as the transparent nature of the tease, the cooperative behavior of the author, the creative value of the tease, and the appreciation expressed by many users. However, the aforementioned reasons for removal are all things that we want to enforce strictly and therefore override such mitigating factors.

You are welcome to republish this tease in such a way that addresses all above concerns. Some possibilities include:
  • The link for the jigsaw puzzle goes to a regular, trusted puzzle site and you simply tell the user that they would have fallen for your trick, or
  • Instead of an actual malicious link there is a description of what the tease used to be and how it worked, or
  • You remove the request for third party personal information, provide a path to completing the tease without submitting information and without paying, and - for those who choose to do so - provide an external, clearly marked way of submitting the information such as sending it in an email, or
  • Some combination of these.
Of course, I also totally understand if you would rather not republish the tease in such a modified form.

General Thoughts on BM Content

Separate from this specific tease, I wanted to share some more general thoughts which our moderators will use to make decisions about future cases of BM content:
  • BM is - by definition - consensual non-consent. I.e. the submissive consents to a non-consensual situation arising in the future. In order to practice this safely and ethically, some very strict guidelines need to be followed.
    • The scope of non-consent is limited and pre-agreed. For example: I agree to give you this picture and you will use it to force me to eat my cum. You don't use the picture for any other purpose and you don't keep the picture beyond the pre-agreed duration.
    • There is an escape hatch. This is a safeword or some equivalent. BM is no different from impact play or any other BDSM practice where a situation may arise that is unexpectedly more intense, dangerous, etc. than what the sub signed up for and in such a situation there must be a way for the sub to be able to actively withdraw consent.
    • All participants consent. When you ask for (as dom) or provide (as sub) information about third parties, this is involving people who did not consent and is therefore unethical. The same goes for sending NSFW content to someone who didn't consent to receiving it or publishing it somewhere that isn't suited for such content.
    • There must be trust. As a sub, you cannot consent to be BM'ed by a dom you don't trust, because you cannot be confident that they will adhere to the rules of the game. Therefore, it is the responsibility of both sub and dom not to engage in this kink if there is no foundation of trust. (I would personally argue that you should never trust any internet stranger you've never met. However, I also understand that trust is a sacred, personal choice and therefore I refuse to impose my judgment on who you should or shouldn't trust on you.)
    • Fantasy may be extreme, reality must be moderate. You must never play with real BM information that would do significant harm to either participant or third parties. If you want to engage in this fetish despite all warnings, at least stick to information that is embarrassing or inconvenient to yourself only.
  • This leads me to the following rules for BM teases on Milovana.
    • BM as a fantasy - allowed
    • BM in teases requesting information sent explicitly outside of Milovana (email, mail timer, ...) - allowed with significant caveats
      • The BM parts must be optional. I.e. there must be a way to complete the tease as a fantasy without submitting information for real.
      • We always reserve the right to remove any tease at our discretion and BM teases as a form of edge play are especially at risk of deletion. Authors should be aware of that.
      • Factors that may cause us to remove a tease (especially in combination with BM) are: findom, any kind of deception, negative experiences reported by users, negative reputation of the author, impact on non-consenting third parties, lack of defined scope, type of information collected, etc.
      • Regarding findom - as a free, non-commercial community, we are somewhat apprehensive about findom having too large of an influence on the site. This is something we are continuously monitoring. We understand that some authors are professionals and we are generally ok with them using the site as a promotional channel so long as the content they post is enjoyable by itself. We do not allow teases which are impossible to complete at all without payment and that of course includes BM teases. To comply with this rule the tease must be able to be completed without submitting BM info and without paying. To maximize the odds of a BM tease involving findom being accepted, you could charge only those users who choose to engage in interactive BM. You should charge them before they submit information. I.e. the user is paying for your time and the BM task is about something other than money.
      • We could have banned all BM content. However, the mission of this site is to encourage and educate about safe exploration of human sexuality and we believe that your personal expression of your sexuality is a sacred human right insofar as it doesn't infringe on the rights of others. Therefore, we would rather do what we can to steer people towards safer forms of BM content rather than ban it altogether and end up with BM content disguised as other content or just driving it towards other venues that are even less equipped to encourage safe practices.
      • It's impossible to foresee every possible situation which is why our policy is somewhat flexible.
      • We may adjust our policy in the future based on future cases and community discussion and feedback.
    • BM inside of Milovana using exploits (data encoded in links, sandbox escapes, ...) - never allowed
    • BM inside of Milovana via the forums or chat - typically not allowed, however moderators have discretion; also we do not moderate what you do in private messages unless we receive a complaint
    • Publishing the actual BM material (names, photos, etc.) on Milovana - never allowed
  • Users should be aware that Milovana has very limited resources to police this kind of thing and no matter how good we make our security, an exploit is always possible, so all BM/humiliation content is always at your own risk and we very strongly advise against ever entering real information anywhere, including in Eos.
  • Anytime you copy something from Eos and paste it anywhere outside of Eos, you are explicitly giving up the security guarantees that Eos provides. We will make this more explicitly clear to users.
  • Anytime you follow an external link, you are giving up the security guarantees that Eos provides.
  • We cannot predict the future. If we get multiple, credible reports that a given author is misusing information submitted to them, we will delete their teases. However, that isn't going to stop a malicious actor from appearing to play by the rules while patiently collecting information over a long period of time and then misusing all of it later.
In addition to the above, all content must of course be compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.

Planned Eos Changes
  • Improved handling of Unicode content, taking into account recommendations from the UTS 36 / UTS 39 reports. Invisible characters should only be allowed in contexts where they are necessary. All messages should be single-script. Existing content should be reviewed to ensure these changes have minimal impact on existing, legitimate content.
  • Any use of the clipboard (copy/paste) will trigger a warning. (Something like: "Any link or text copied from Eos may contain information that you have entered during the course of this tease or previous sessions with this tease. This information may be cleverly hidden and a pretext for copying may be used to mislead you. By continuing, you understand that you are trusting the tease author with your data and that Milovana cannot protect your data once it leaves our site. Are you sure you want to copy from this tease?")
  • We may start to allow clickable links, but clicking them will trigger a warning. (Something like: "You are about to leave Milovana and any information that you entered into this tease could be sent to [website] or other third parties, are you sure you want to continue?")
  • We will think about ways that we can bring certain popular types of content in-house such as videos, puzzles, etc. to reduce the need for external links in the first place. Reducing the demand for unsafe practices is an important aspect of secure design.
  • We will consider creating additional safety information around subjects like BM that can be attached to teases by the author or a moderator.
As always, I appreciate everyone's thoughtful comments and I hope you can understand my decision. Thank you for being a part of the Milovana community and for your trust in myself and our moderation team.

Thank you for making a sincere and detailed post clarifying your rationale for removing this tease. In my perfect-world scenario, you would have allowed the tease to continue to exist, but maybe with a pop-up warning or a prior gateway page notifying the user that the tease contained extreme content, with a description of the exploit in a spoiler tag. That would allow someone who wants the thrill of BM to experience it.

Assuming that's technically challenging or creates a moderation nuisance for future BM and like teases, I'd like to suggest an alternative remedy--which is that the tease include an optional "safeword" button which immediately resets the tease and also provides a link to clear the external database of their own data. The safeword button would be on by default, and someone would have to go and disable it if they preferred to play for keeps. If they tried it without the safeword and couldn't handle it, they could refresh the tease and turn the safeword back on. I have no doubts whatsoever that Mistress Amber could program all these things in her sleep if she desired to. Or they would be available to a future tease author as alternatives to spoiling the "trick" fun.

Through browsing teases on this site I've gotten to know my kinks better in many ways and sampled some new ones. But this is the first brand spanking new kink I have learned from this site. This is the first time I have ever experienced these feelings directly with enough punching power to understand how I'm oriented to this kink. I think some other people feel similarly. I also see that some folks really are not handling being tricked well, which is another way of learning from experiencing a new thing. I'd like to ask that you not cave to the controversy and allow us to explore this more. I don't see any harm in the additional EOS changes/limitations.

Again thank you for being so transparent and thoughtful in your communications, and please also consider that the alternatives being recommended simply won't create the shock value needed for this kink to work.

Sorry to see this deleted. I was hoping to complete the tease at a later time.

I hope we can find a way to enjoy this tease or similar in the future.

Hi seraph0x, first of all, a huge thank you for all your effort (for Milovana in general, and for reviewing my tease). I of course understand your decision.

I will not republish the tease, as I feel too much would need to be sacrificed. Instead, I'm thinking of my next tease idea, also blackmail themed, but more on the 'clear consent' side.

@seraph0x To be clear: I'm assuming asking users to enter personal information into an email and sending it to me, or entering it into a (legitimate) email timer website (which then sends it to me) is okay, under the following conditions:
- Clear consent given prior to sending
- No personal information of other people is asked (such as friends, family, ...)
- No information is published to Milovana forums

Please correct me if I'm wrong on this.

As for what happened to all the data of my tease:
Spoiler: show
No data was actually shared with people other than myself and the player (except for one slave who begged me to :-D ).
However, I did really enjoy seeing everyone's pictures and reading your embarrassing stories, what a ride!

All data will also be removed in 2 days.
This has been an amazing experience, thank you all for the positive and constructive feedback!

Teasing kisses,
Mistress Amber

Yes, we have let such teases stand in the past so long as they don't violate any other policy. The most common reason for BM teases to get removed (other than obvious scams) is because they are too spammy, i.e. there isn't enough of a tease that someone who doesn't want to play for real can also enjoy. It's essentially just a prompt/advert for BM and not a tease.

Unfortunately, there are infinite possibilities for what a tease could be and it's impossible to write a policy that captures them all so we always reserve the right to remove any tease that we just don't feel comfortable with. The good news is that this is typically quite rare.

Edit: Additional responses below.

I have considered having BM-specific functionality in Eos, but there is a tremendous amount to think about. We could only truly guarantee things like the safeword button if we were holding on to the data ourselves and not sharing it with anyone, including the tease author. Holding BM information, even temporarily, is risky. It would make us more of a target for hackers. It would also require navigating some fairly complex legal issues.

Maybe some day. However, realistically, there are many, much less controversial features that are in high demand such as supporting vibrators, videos, and reusable script modules. So I will likely focus on those first.
ostermanblue2 wrote: Wed Jan 17, 2024 8:17 amThrough browsing teases on this site I've gotten to know my kinks better in many ways and sampled some new ones.
Our mission is to help folks explore safely. If I'm uncomfortable with the risks that are being taken, I have to step in, however exciting the exploration may be.

In this case, the most significant factor was the fact that the tease exploited the trust that users have in the site and the Eos system. Of course, I would say: Please don't rely on us to protect you - no matter how good of a sandbox we build, there will be someone out there clever enough to break out of it. However, to the extent that we can, we have to uphold that trust. If we allowed teases like this, people soon would stop trusting the Eos system altogether, and teases like this would lose their effectiveness anyway. Meanwhile, that loss of trust would negatively affect many other explorations that users might engage with on the site.

Welcome to the frontier! This won't be the last innovation in the BM kink and there are many more waiting to be discovered. Just like a skydiver may carry a backup parachute, I predict that people will find ways to make BM content safer without taking away from the experience.

Since now everything was resolved, including the rush I felt, I want to complement my previous post on this topic.

I'm an old internet user, from the dial-up era. As such, I grew confident in my abilities to avoid falling for tricks (virus encoded in music downloaded from KaZaA, "click here to know how to enlarge your penis" emails, url shorteners, sites with cleverly written url - like vvanda instead of wanda, capital i vs lowercase L...). That, with the EOS being a secure environment, was part of my doom, alongside the loss of reasoning due to the sexual rush of the tease.

I was never into blackmail and never understood why people were into it. This curiosity, alongside the above paragraph, made me want to try the tease. The description was clear - she could make me give her the info, but I would avoid that - why I would do that? - and send personal info outside Milovana? Then, i was tricked.

Oh boy, never felt like that. The mix of arousal and shame, the chat-style site, the site itself so well done from both code and UX. What a thrill it was. And how kind was Mistress Amber to hear my plea and understand it, because if I could , I would have payed her for tricking me, not for blackmailing me. Doesn't we all pay to see magicians fool us? Well, She fooled me.

There's a couple days I can't think of anything else but this tease and how it affected me. A whole new kink was discovered and I'll prepare myself better for her next tease, that's for sure.
