I like how the awards were presented. It's nice to see what videos members like and the accompanying percentages. I've revisited a number of the videos mentioned and have been VERY pleasantly surprised at how they feel with the setup and mood enhancers I'm using now. Thanks to all the contributors and voters. K

I know some people wonder if I can write short posts..
the answer is yes but it still won't be this time.
I also know that it may seem silly to celebrate numbers with long speeches and thanks, but I will not deviate from this rule.

Sorry in advance for any mistakes and if my words are distorted or lost in translation

I'm not good at speeches but I wanted to say more than just a thank you.

So I'm going to start by thanking Eclips for organizing this ceremony,
thanks to those who helped and supported me here and on Discord,
to those who take the time to leave a post,
a big thank you to those who voted for Rhythms of Desire in its category and in the video of the year,
and thank you also to all those who did not vote for Rhythms of Desire but for the other creations.

Why thank those who didn't vote for Rhythms of Desire?
Because they supported a creation and its creator.

I can't imagine what the original creator of the first Cock Hero was thinking,
when one day he said to himself that he was going to create his project and then share it on internet,
but without his first step there is a strong probability that none of all the creations present in this year's votes would ever see the light of day, mine at least.

But why start creating?
Creating can be something personal but also create human connections through sharing and helping each other,
It is not uncommon for what we give by creating and expressing ourselves to be given back to us.

Of course the process of creating can be long and difficult,
“There can be no art without risk” Maurice Ohana.
Risks that one must dare to take in order to be able to construct a work.
Starting with family and social pressures.
Furthermore, the risk of worldliness can lead to that of aesthetic compromise,
that of the desire to please, stronger than the intransigence of personal research,
a risk which can lead to a faded, redundant work, deprived of the energy specific to the creative act.
The complacency of the gaze can generate another, that of comfort:
not changing anything that pleases, what sells and corresponds to the trend of an era.
And finally face the risk of forgetting.

But the importance of creating is all the greater,
every day when doors close a little more, and other havens of freedom and creativity disappear
must push us to continue to create, share and inspire this freedom to create.
And if you don't create something yourself to support and assist in creation,
to show that you believe in those who create.
Dare to imbue your creations with something of you, of your personality
what inspires you, don't just do what is already done or what might please,
the AIs and the least inspired will do it very well themselves.
Neither wait for a more auspicious moment or a better opportunity,
the world is not waiting for you.

After time spent working on my project I sometimes wonder "why keep doing this? And for whom?"

Thanks to those who inspired me and I hope that I could pass this inspiration on to even one person.
Dare to start or continue to create, or at least support and believe in those who create.

I disagree... It is much more than that. It is probably pmv/ch with most hidden messages and satire (but violet-end satire, the teasing kind) about the current state of our civilization... I would even say it is work of art hidden behind pmv shell so people don't see through right away. But it is a true movie beyond porn and that sets it apart from everything else that was ever released on this site.

Maybe it is not 100% clear now, but there is also extended edition, and if even then is muddy, there are spoilers Tia wrote about it (which still only uncover part of the motivation and theme of the movie).

It is the type of the art that can make you think about your life and what you want to do with it. It can motivate you to become better person and make other's lives better. It is beautiful in every way.

Well you seem to have noted something. You know, everything in universe has 2 sides... yin & yang?

Even something like having huge amounts of money... it might look there would be no downsides, but just imagine the temptations that you wouldn't be able to resist... then even if you resist abusing substances, you will still do some pleasurable activities... think about the fact that neurotransmitters (like dopamine) are neurotoxic in excess.

That is a strawman since it does not relate to what I stated. Porn is just one of activities that produces short-term spikes in neurotransmitters, and this is just review of research related to porn that states "it does not prove it is damaging" (but paper does not disprove it either).

First things first, thank you for writing a long post, I always appreciate walls of text, because I know at times it takes a lot of effort to put thoughts into words. And I mean it, I'm prone to walls of text myself if I'm given the chance So, in the spirit of not writing an essay, I'll focus on the question you put forward at the end, which I found interesting...

Hopefully, it's enough to do it for yourself. I believe the greatest creations come not when you want to make something that the greatest number of people would like, but when you want to make something that you yourself would love. This is how the VOTY started as well, one year after the first CHOTY I sensed an award ceremony for 2022 would not come and I asked Iridescence, and I wanted it for sure, so I made it happen. I want to encourage everyone to do the same, the VOTY end up being more work than I anticipated (writing a post and running a poll is but the tip of the iceberg), but it's nothing compared to a cock hero and there's smaller tasks than an award ceremony as well, there's something for everyone. I don't have the time or the skill to make a cock hero, so I looked for a way to give back elsewhere, and I found that video production is not everything. There's those who make estim tracks, those who make torrents or upload to a streaming service, those who catalogue or collect and upload to mega, those who write code to facilitate encoding, those who troubleshoot or recommend or just chat and keep the site alive. I can't give an award to any of those, but at least once I want to thank them too, their input is important as well! And I don't intend what I wrote now to contradict this entire event (it's a popularity contest after all, kind of the opposite idea), or what you wrote Tia (I believe I'm echoing your words maybe), but to complement it. In short, if you think of something you would like to see, big or small, see if you can make it a reality. Not everyone will love it, but if it's only one person (even if it's only you), I guarantee another will... and maybe it's all you need :)
