[RELEASE] Cock Hero: Try On - New Web Demo!

It's Cock Hero, but everyone's wearing clothes!
This is a one-round demo for a Cock Hero game themed around try on hauls. This round is focused on casualwear (jeans, shorts, sundresses, etc.). There is no nudity in the main video, but there is a short topless reward clip when the player gives in.

Featuring: Ari Dugarte, Vicky Justiz, Christina Khalil, Bri Lauren, Anna Louise, Tiana Musarra, Victoria Xavier, and Paige (from bralessforever.com).

Rather than embedding the beats/meter into the video, Cock Hero: Try On plays the video in a chromium-based web browser and adds audio beats and a meter overlay in real time. This also allows for randomization to create a new experience every time you play, as well as some interactivity to, for example, allow you to press any key when you're ready to give in.

Start Chrome with the --allow-file-access-from-files flag (in Windows, use the 'Run' app, Command Prompt, or a shortcut). Then, open 'index.html' in the 'CH Try On Demo (Web)' folder.

Well, in general running unknown exe files from the internet is not very safe.

I checked it with VirusTotal before I posted it, and it came out clean (and obviously you can check it yourself). But no hard feelings if you'd rather not risk it. :thumbsup:

I always have the same feeling myself. ;-)

There are a few accompanying files that can be inspected, like JavaScript, but the system seems very complex, instead of everything being bundled into one exe file, plus the video files apart, of course. That would be my suggestion for you, WeaselOne.

The reason why I won't try it for me, not available under Linux. :-|

The generated output of your video editor may be bloated, too big for not any significant benefit. One thing you can do is use HANDBRAKE with the H.264 (x264), RF18 Constant Quality and Web Optimized / Fast Start options, all other options by default. You'd be surprised how smaller the video becomes, without any impact to the quality.

Just going to mention it here, because I agree that running executables downloaded from the internet isn't a great idea...

PWA technology is getting really good. My site, https://cyoa.club let's people create and play interactive "adventures" that run in a regular browser sandbox. The games are distributed in the browser page via webtorrent. There is no need to host anything. There are no ads. You don't have to sign up.

For creators, there are monetization options through discord to have some content be "unlocked".

If you have any questions, lmk, I can help you get started. My discord is also a good place to talk about game creation.

Thanks for the feedback, all. I've updated the top post with a link to a web version that you can run in Chrome. I'm sure this doesn't eliminate all security concerns, but it's the best I could come up with right now. I've also linked to a Linux version--I don't have the means to actually test it, but if someone wants to give it a try and tell me if works, go for it!

cyoa.club looks interesting, thanks! I'll have to look into it more when I have more brain power.

Uhhh. Yes, my site does work offline. It is a PWA. It downloads and stores all files in an "adventure" to the filesystem, and once the site loads, it will continue to load and function when you have no internet connectivity.

I don't have enough patience to go through an obfuscated-to-hell .js source.... but rpc stands for "Remote Procedure Call". Whatever this code depends on, it's not part of the Cock Hero Replay data - and based on the "rpc" name (and the fact that the exception stops the js code execution)...

...I believe my point stands: Cock Hero Replay uses some sort of infrastructure ("remote procedure call") code offered by CYOA, and therefore doesn't appear to be playable offline without connecting to said infrastructure.
You're way over thinking this. The torrent downloads in the browser and you just hit the play button. It plays in the site just fine offline.

Love the concept, but the whole unnecessary executable layer makes me hesitate. If you decide to render a mp4 only version, I'd be all over it.

you could try to make a link of it on github maybe, maybe even include the source code you used, this way other programmers that likes this type of stuff like me, can help improve your app or make alternative versions of it(we call them forks)

No that is exactly what works. Offline, open your browser and go to cyoa.club. The service worker that was downloaded before will serve the site from cache. It works on desktop and mobile in chrome. I just put my phone (android, iphone doesn't work) in airplane mode, turned off wifi, and opened the site. It loads and I can play replay.

I don't want to derail the thread any further, this should be working for you, and if it's not... Then there is a bug.

If you'd like to check out just the video (with no beats), it's on the WPMV Games site, or the .mp4 is in the media folder of the mega links. A static .mp4 version with a beatmeter is unlikely, just because it would be a bunch of extra work for what I think is a worse version of the thing. The executable is really just a web browser, so you're effectively streaming a CH from your own device, if that does anything for your hesitation. But either way I appreciate your interest!

This is a cool idea that I am unfortunately not yet knowledgeable enough to make happen, but I will add it to my list of things to look into!

To make the demo more easily accessible (and without needing to run an EXE from a stranger on the internet), I've set up a web version here: https://weaselone.fun/TryOnDemo/
(Updated with new link. Performance and stability should be improved.)

I've tested it in Chrome and Edge, and it should work in Opera or any other chromium-based browser. It should also download in the background while you play and be available offline once all of the files are cached. Any feedback is welcome!
