The ability to take a small risk and be rewarded with community can be so healing!

Our monthly events try to set the stakes as low as possible when it comes to welcoming people exploring their gender for the first time. In an ideal world, everyone gets to feel empowered to hatch from whatever egg they've been developing in. This is a scary time to be visibly different but I believe there is strength in numbers! None of us need to feel alone anymore.

We set no requirements about medical procedures, hormones, genitals, body hair or any appearance-based gender signifiers. You are free to identify however you wish. Over the past 11 years we've found that approximately 1/3 of our members eventually transition and many of us change how we identify along the way. These changes are not the "goal" of our group but we think it is a healthy side effect of feeling safe enough to question our identities and explore. Our group has gone by many names over the years, but we haven't found a perfect fit that encompasses our huge variety.

This group also gives you implicit permission to participate by allowing yourself to dress up in solidarity. Even if you never get to log in or join us in California, you deserve to wear clothes that feel good.

Our in person event meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at the Wicked Grounds Annex (upstairs from the 18+ coffee shop) in San Francisco. We have changing space available and a non-gendered bathroom. No one is born knowing how to apply makeup, we are all learning together and helping each other can be empowering instead of embarrassing!

After 2 hours to get to know each other and get dressed up (not everyone feels safe dressing at home), we adjourn around the corner to a kinky event called "PlayXLand" inside of the Cat Club. This portion of our evening is 21+ at a dance club with a bar so please have ID. The bouncer will not flinch if you look very different from your normal self. There is a variable cover charge (depending on club events) and they have a paid coat check. PlayXLand features a small dungeon for BDSM play, with professional dungeon monitors and allows kinky scenes as long as your genitals and nipples remain covered (regardless of gender).

We've started meeting ONLINE also! The monthly worldwide group meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month and is discussion topic focused. Everyone gets an opportunity to share on the night's questions, suggest additional topics, show off their outfit and get things off their chest (no nudity please). You do not have to turn on your webcam to participate and are welcome to use Zoom filters if you choose to. We also have a lively chat room going during the 3 hour video call!

We had a great online munch this January 12th, with 34 people attending digitally from all over the world. Our discussion topics focused on what we were most proud of in 2022 and announcing our goals for 2023. It is SO INSPIRING to hear about what you've been doing and what you are looking forward to!

We filled up the Wicked Grounds Annex with more than 30 people at our in-person gathering too! I am delighted by how many newbies made our munch part of their 2023 New Years Resolutions. We are a very friendly group, even if you have never been dressed up around others before and need to keep your drab "normal" clothes on for comfort. One little step at a time is how growth happens!

We celebrated Dr. Bambi's birthday in style with plenty of spankings to go around at our PlayXLand afterparty. If you are still too nervous to attend our munch at the Wicked Grounds Annex, you can always give us a wink once we change venues and arrive at the Cat Club. We will know what it means.

Looking ahead, I am SO EXCITED about the ONLINE PAGEANT next month on February 9th!!!

The competition will feature celebrity judges, great outfits, probing questions and lots of talents! Join us on Zoom to compete or cheer on the contestants trying for the crown! We will ship an actual crown to the winner, worldwide!

Thank you to everyone who attended our Mx SFCD 2023 PAGEANT!

It was our largest online event so far, with more than 60 people logging in from all over the world. The final competition came down to 8 contestants who gave excellent sassy interview answers and brought sexy, painful or humiliating talents to show off.

Mistress Viola Parker, Princessa Natasha Strange, Mistress Mia Darque, Dr. Bambi Belle, Sadistic Stylist Denali Winter and THEM-ily Post were our charismatic (and slightly sadistic) celebrity judges this year!

The evening was full of good vibes - literally and figuratively - as the judges enjoyed toying with remote control devices. It was fun to see if that had any effect on a contestant's pageant composure! Maybe toys will be worth extra points next year?

Tessa won "Miss Congeniality" because she was brave enough to share her Lovense control links with everyone in the main chat.

Pansy Pottypants was our Princess because of how they melted into a helpless puddle in their pretty little outfit when interrogated by the femdom judges.

Danika from New York is our WINNER!!! She suffered beautifully for us, literally bleeding for our entertainment in the talent portion of the evening, during her "Karaoke With Clothespins" number.

Our judges were tough but fair and a good time was had by all!

What did the Spring Clothing Exchange bring this year?

Shoes! So many shoes! Shoes for every day of the week!

The clothing ranged from size 2 to size 28, while the shoes were mostly 10 to 13, with a few magical 14s looking for their special Cinderella.

We sorted the goodies by genre this time, with a rope rack for dresses and tables for shoes, separates (a fancy word for tops and bottoms), lingerie, corsets and a catch-all category "books, toys and other."

Hot vintage smut found new homes as well as disinfected high quality metal and silicone sex toys. Lots of leather was discovered, including incredible punk rock PINK LEATHER bondage goodies! We gave away lots of shapewear, whole bags of panties and a transparent rubber catsuit that was professionally cleaned and contained careful measurements to help find it the right person.

There were lots of "passable" options available for daily feminine clothes but also cosplay and costumes! I saw Harley Quinn, Renaissance Faire outfits, pirate wenches with striped pants and a flirty steampunk top that matched my favorite dress (the one covered in sea creatures).

Someone shy brought an adorable onesie! It is worth mentioning that we have a devoted contingent of adult babies, age play enthusiasts and diaper lovers in our group. We welcome all forms of consensual gender exploration, including ABDL, reparenting and regression. There is always at least one person wearing a diaper at each of our meetups, but it is not always obvious who they are. I would love to create some kind of crossover event with our local Littles Munch someday. It is never too late to have a happy childhood!

This is your excuse to buy the wedding dress of your dreams! Be brave and try things on in person or take your measurements at home and order something affordable (and gently used) online. Your wedding dresses do not have to be white! Get creative!

Many of you have heard the sad news that our munch’s home for 12 years, Wicked Grounds, closed their cafe and meeting space. Our munch will continue to meet every month on the 3rd Wednesday of the month (and online on the 2nd Thursday too). We are negotiating with potential venues. WE HAVE A NEW GATHERING PLACE IN SAN FRANCISCO!

The Folsom Street Community Center is just one block away from the Cat Club, on Folsom between 8th and 9th Street, so it is still within walking distance from our afterparty!

HOWEVER, it has a lot more to offer than just being nearby...
- ADA Compliant (no more stairs of doom!)
- HIPAA air filters & HIGH ceilings for maximum air flow
- changing areas & clean bathrooms
- there's a stage & sound system!
- they have a kitchen!
- quiet (no more nightclub downstairs)
- possibility of pageants & play parties...
- it is BIG- we have room to grow!

Since these are the same folks that host the famous Folsom Street Fair, they are fully in support of who we are and what we do. I am looking forward to making mischief with all of you in our new home from 7pm until 9pm on the 3rd Wednesday of every month.

Thank you so much to all the Barbies (and Kens) who participated in our movie night!

We rented out an entire screening of The Barbie Movie so that we could be rowdy, raunchy and all dressed up without shocking anyone underage or conservative. We laughed, we cried, we cheered, IT WAS FANTASTIC!

Theater management was enthusiastic about our costume contest and had a good sense of humor, so I would love to host another movie night in the future. It does not have to be a current release! Maybe something like Priscilla, Queen of the Desert? Hedwig and the Angry Inch? Preaching to the Perverted? Kinky Boots? What movies would you like to see together on a big screen?

I like the idea of having widespread Bay Area events so that everyone who wants to gets a chance to party with us (our club started in Santa Cruz). Campbell is a suburb of San Jose and a long drive for some of our more Northern members, but a welcome dose of accessibility for our friends that live in the South Bay.

Holy Toledo! Our Oakland A's adventure turned into a series of wins!

First off, we got PRIDE SOCKS! Knee high baseball socks with a rainbow and trans pride stripe in the back, where the seam on a pair of stockings would be.

Then, we got to see Shohei Ohtani play baseball! Someday, that might be like saying you saw Babe Ruth in a game. Since the A's are having a series of SELL protests, some of our members participated in the chanting during the 5th inning and brought signs. Our beloved local team is threatening to relocate to Las Vegas, so attendance at home games has plummeted. This means that there was a mix of rainbow-clad folks celebrating PRIDE NIGHT at the ballpark (like us) and a huge flood of Ohtani fans outnumbering normal attendees. We got a taste of the coordinated cheering popular at NPB games in Japan where he used to play for the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters.

Our troubled hometown heroes were up against the world's greatest player and his heavily favored LA Angels - and THE OAKLAND A's WON!!!

We didn't just win, we had an incredible 5-run inning for a final score of 9 to 2!

What a perfect close to our summer, out at the ol' ball game!

Thank you for a lively online munch and a lovely in person gathering in December!

Some memories stand out from our Zoom group, like members describing the inspiring moment when they realized their feminine clothes outnumbered their masculine clothes. There is a special pleasure when you see a colorful display of styles in your closet instead of just brown/blue/black!

The New Year is here and there was a powerful theme about goal setting. We all agreed that it would be good and achievable to "do one thing each week to support your femme side."

Briala offered my favorite quote of the evening, regarding her ongoing transition: "It is a hard journey but NOT going on it is harder."

We also went down a spicy conversational rabbit hole about Erostek and erotic electric stimulation.

After gaining confidence on Zoom, we were ready for going out on a Wednesday night. There were delicious cookies (thank you Vale!), great outfits, lots of good advice and outrageous stories at the first half of our gathering, while we got dressed at the Folsom Street Community Center. Once we were feeling confident and ready for action, the after-party was a short walk away at the Cat Club, where we enjoyed hot scenes in the dungeon!

Lots of different holidays and versions of Santa were represented throughout the night during the last gathering of 2023... Stay tuned for our in-person group on January 17th in San Francisco, celebrating UNIFORM NIGHT!!!
