I'm a fan of your DW-Cockheros, but I must admit, I don't get the point of these. I don't need a emphasized beat or a beatmeter to get the beat of some music. And if I want to find my own rhythmic patterns, I can masturbate to any PMV out there. For me, the given beat-pattern is, what makes cockheros work and I think there are several reasons for that:
- I don't have to think, I can just watch and stroke and follow the next pattern, especially, if I have a beatmeter, that clearly shows me, what to do.
- I can stroke continuously. Without a beat pattern I always need a few bars to find the right rhythm and I have to do that with every change of music. And often, there are several suitable patterns, I have to decide, which one to choose, or when to alternate between them etc. Sometimes cockheros have complex patterns that I do not get immediately, but I have to redo the CH a few times. (I even like that challenge) But eventually, I get to a point, where I can follow it easily and if it is well made, I get a perfect combination of stroking-patterns every time. With PMVs I rarely get to that point, for some of my favorite ones I even added a beatmeter myself at some point.
- It has a dominating aspect to it. I have to hold out, even if the beat pattern pushes me to the edge. With a PMV I can switch to an easier pattern at any point and always have to decided myself how long I should hold out.

If you enjoy making these kinds of videos, please don't feel discouraged. There are probably people out there, that like them. I just wanted to add my point of view.

I agree with what you've said here. However I found, in the comments expressing confusion or difficulty with the Dual Wield play, that something like Beat Hero might make more sense. I also found that the common Cock Hero beat patterns easily fit videos like these without needing the graphic to instruct it. Anyone could add any beat pattern graphic overlay onto these.

I'm using Beat Hero to fill that gap between PMV and CH, to get some single song rounds, and to have those completed timelines for later things.
