So, personally, I almost never follow the instructions in teases. There's a couple of reasons for this.

1) I don't own any sex toys, and can't be bothered to get up and unthread a shoelace. In general, anything involving a prop is out.

Interesting topic. This is probably something everyone handles differently. For me it really depends on the tease. If it's a really good, challenging tease then I like to push myself and try to follow it to the letter.

Sadly many authors don't really test their own instructions, so often they are just unrealistic or not as fun as they may seem. That's when I start improvising.

Agree, i dont like this"50 slow strokes, than 200 fast strokes...". A good tease should tell a story. It is ok also to get instructions, but without story its boring i think.

I try to follow but if it starts telling me to do 100 strokes looking at a picture I half the number or cut it down more. And I've never managed to stop a tease before the end even if I'm told to.

Maybe if the author of a tease that requires props told us what would be required and ordered us to assemble the necessary items beforehand, that would help. On the other hand, for me, a lot of the thrill is in surrendering my free will, doing as I am told. Me too, I'm guilty of much of the above (If not ALL of the above).

the tags DO help with narrowing down which tease to click on, though (I believe there's a "prop" tag now, and alot of the ones that ask for props tell you on the first page), but I'm a poor web-submissive.
