I got one. It takes a bit of getting used to at first but after a while you can let your thoughts run wild. It is fantastic to use whist on live web cams. I emailed the humpus company before buying it and they sent me a link to watch a video of real people using it, just send them an email and pretend you are interested in buying one and ask if they can show you a real video.

I just took a look at that and WHOP IN MY FACE when I seen the prices, your correct "$ Thousand`s". Looks well made and boasts great functionality though. I like the idea of the humpus being able to be strapped to you and having my hands free to communicate (via keyboard typing) with a live cam girl, also it`s small enough to fit in the bedside draw. To me the downside with the humpus is the top end speed, I might be expecting a bit much here but sometimes I like a super fast speed thrap and humpus has it`s limits, don`t get me wrong the speed variations are good and because it does have its top end speed limit it can actually amplify the feeling of a real BJ tease. The humpus Facebook page said that new attachments are being sold soon and the new male one is going to be a virgina shape, i can`t wait for that!
On the whole (excuse the pun) Iv`e had some great wanks with the humpus, using lashings of lube though is real bind for me, seems to get everywhere and makes the remote control harder to hold.

I certainly hope they're focusing thousands of dollars on making devices high quality in the sense of both construction and performance.

For example, the Humpus.... (Is that a play on "Hunt The Wumpus?") Three buttons, On/Off, Up and Down. That's be a perfect item for a hobbyist to have driven over the internet. Since it's wireless, anything you do could be tucked behind your computer where no one would ever ask "what's that box for?"

20 years ago someone with a modicum of electronics knowledge and some programming expertise could controlled three contacts with as many transistors and a few resistors connected to the printer port.

Nowadays it's more useful to go through a USB port, which a $30 dollar US Arduino can do quite well up to 8 switch channels.

Once you have the buttons under control, the rest is all software that can be embellished however you like.. Programming clients and servers across the internet does have a learning curve, but it's not rocket surgery. Coming up with a good interface is probably the difficult part, and then you can work on enhancements, like, say, your partner decides to ramp it up to the maximum or drop it to nothing. That becomes easy.

There are teledildonics forums for pervs with an engineering bent. I'd bet they already have schematics for enhancing that device .
