It's not often, but i've bought jeans that cost nearly that much. Fashion can be expensive. ;)

You are certainly right about the cost of fashion Lindsey!

I don't think it would be too hard to find leather pants that cost quite a bit more than £175 - leather products can be very costly. I have a skirt (that doesn't even have much leather!) that cost about that amount. But it looks really good!

Cool report 'nuts. I've not experienced these. Do the needles get stuck in the skin after you pull the nettles away (barbed tipped)? Interestingly painful it sounds!

I've seen highly magnified pics and they don't appear barbed. I think their purpose is to act more like a syringe. The don't penetrate very far into the skin as far as I'm aware.

My most expensive pair of jeans was £60. I think I am a bit of a dull utilitarian when it comes to clothing. Obviously will have to re-adjust my mindset/wallet for the world of online Tease and Denial shopping

I've heard many conflicting stories of tartan's origins, but the general gist of them is "It wasn't the Scots"
We didn't invent the bagpipes either!

I am not so trusting in the cost/value relationship. Sometimes things are expensive, not because of their inherent qualities, but to make more profit? My £60 jeans are falling apart at the crotch, my £30 ones are not. The £60 ones have a teeny red tab on the bum, the £30 ones do not.

However, I would imagine that a lot of this equiment/goodies are being made on a small scale/cottage industry level, and therefore helping out 'the little man' which is always nice. There seems to be quite a lot of boutique/specialist companies online which is also great as it is more 'personal'. I like paying good money to such companies in all areas of life.

Same with the websites actually. I have yet to come across a BDSM/Fetish/T&D site that was plastered with banners and adverts. A lot of people seem to have just gone ahead and set up themselves.
