same here. Can't enter the chat. Had no problems yesterday, had windows 10 for a week or two now.

Its nothing to do with Windows 10. Chat is just down

As luck has it, chat seems to have rebooted itself or someone fixed it. Though now I'm all alone

The server partied a little too hard last night and had to sleep it off.

Old thread, but I wanted to showcase that I had to turn off my encryption settings in Pidgin to connect to the xmpp chat.

Under the advanced tab,

I had to:
set Connection Security to "Use Encryption if available" (formerly Require Encryption)
check the box "Allow plaintext auth over unecrypted streams" (formerly unchecked)

Is there something I am doing wrong or has the chat server switch to an unencrypted system?

Its telling me authentication failed but I can log onto the main site fine?
