Not entirely. As with all relationships, a D/s relationship must prove mutually beneficial.

(This is of course discounting the notion that someone would be a "complete slave" where by they would do anything the Dominant told them regardless of their own feelings. I've heard a few people make that claim but they've all been, for want of a better term, full of shit. )

In a D/s relationship the submissive will usually get what he/she wants eventually, after fulfilling the desires of their Dominant.
