You're probably right. This is indeed, how our world works. But do you think it's "right"? I don't. And it seems to me, that in order to make a change in the basic thinking that most people have on the subject, is to first make people aware of it. I may not be able to change the world this way, or even the thinking of a lot of people, but if I can enlighten even a few to a potential problem that "may" exist, then I feel I may have done something to make a difference, to make the place that I live a better place.

The difference, (without sounding like a presumptous and vain...well, bitch...) is the response that people have to the solicitations. One of my hobbies is music, i'm part of a number of musicians' forums. I wouldn't go on those forums and start a thread entitled "Will someone give me online guitar lessons in the chat room?". However, if Jimmy Page registered and started a thread entitled, "I have some free time, anyone up for free guitar lessons in the chat room?", it would be a little different.

I'm not saying that I, or any of the other females here, are analogous to hard rock guitar legends that, quite franky, had dead sexy hair in the 70's. But the issue isn't so cut and dry. I don't see the extent that it goes on, as it's been mentioned that some threads are flat out deleted before most people see them. But I don't think it goes on to such a degreee that it bothers me. Personally, i've responded to at least one or 2 of those types of threads and appeased (for lack of a better term) the poster. However, I can understand the 'what if everybody did' mentality of the people who have to actually deal with moderating the boards.

This has been a very interesting thread, very entertaining, stimulating and quite popular. Many good points have been made, and I have to tell you, I agree with most. The Milovana team in my eyes does a great job at moderating, and though there is the occasional "censorship" issue, I don't think the team is out of line, nor out to get anyone. I do think we should keep this society as open as possible, and common sense is usually the best judgement here.

Lindsey said it best, but what guy on here isn't dying to be teased by one of the gals? The inquiries from the women are so few and far between I think we can live with their requests. As for Women running this world...they have been doing so since the existance of man. YOU KNOW...THE POWER OF THE PUSSY!
