You could also try getting a Green Card.
...But then again, where would you want to live if you got one? There are a lot of nice places in the States. New York, Washington, L.A., Miami.

New York is big but VERY crowded.
Washington is the capital and has a lot of nice landmarks.
L.A. is one of the greatest cities in the States, but if my information is correct criminality is very high
Miami has VERY nice weather, but also a big disadvantage which is lots of chances for hurricanes.

You know, come to think of it, no one does it here anymore either - it was more when I was growing up. It was actually not very nice - the idea was you would sing Happy Birthday, someone would spank the Birthday girl or boy 10 or 12 times or whatever their age was, and then they would get pinched as someone jovially said, "and a pinch to grow an inch!"

Pretty brutal for the person having the birthday actually. Maybe it was just a New York City thing even (where I grew up)...

Or maybe it was just my family! That would probably explain why I got into Psychology...
