Thank you for your input and tip. I did not know about these functions and have researched them for a few hours.

As I understand in short: thanks to those functions I can 'produce' nicer urls for each video and later load it without reloading the rest of the site. I think that the current script handles reloading the relevant/changing content well- correct me if I'm wrong :) Whenever you select another video from the menu, only the content below the video title (and the video title ofc) is refreshed. Rewriting the urls for each video is nice as long as it is understood by crawlers, which apparently it is not in this case. Crawlers can understand static/html content perfectly, content that is served via queries from the database quite well (url rewriting helps), but served from the browser's history is ephemeral for the crawlers. What is more, whenever someone shares such a link, and another person accesses it form outside of the domain, he/she will be presented with a 404 - not found error. There is a workaround for this, where you can prepare php/sql pages that are served instead, but this in my opinion kind of defeats the idea of having lightning fast responsive web pages. This way we return back to the beginning where we have a heavy server CPU-load sql solution that we cannot ultimately part with.

That being said, I actually tested a similar setup, when I proposed a hybrid solution above. Access to the site from outside of the canonical address was served by php/mysql solution, while the rest was handled by javascript. The php/mysql part was still too much strain on the webserver, so it's turned off for now and all the requests that should have been handled by php/mysql are now redirected to javascript.

I'm not a programmer, I learn as I go, so I might not have fully understood your intention. Maybe you would be so kind as to provide a sample code relevant to the streaming site, so I can understand better what can be achieved with those functions?

If you only push them as URL parameters or anchors (that is, example.org/page?video=12 or example.org/page#video12), you should be able to avoid issues with 404s - every page load will still refer to example.org/page, and the parameters can be processed on either the server side or the client side, whichever results in better performance or simpler maintenance.

As for crawlers, what I would suggest is re-enabling the static pages (though perhaps with a rewrite of some form; they shouldn't be putting nearly enough strain on the server to cause problems), and linking to them by default, but swapping out the links with Javascript code as soon as it loads. This way, the crawlers index all of the pages, but real browsers will take advantage of the partial page loading (and as a bonus, this makes the site more robust in the case of users with Javascript turned off).

I'll put it on my to-do list to whip up some sample code for serving pages as listed. It might help to know what sort of backend the server has; you mentioned PHP and MySQL, but indicated that they were both disabled. Are the video links being placed in the HTML manually, or do you still have a database of some sort?

Thank you for your advice.

Currently I have a choice to setup a NoSQL database- this could be paired with PHP. But I still maintain a MySQL database. The javascript version of the site is currently updated manually. I'll send you a pm with details.

Now thanks to better monitoring tools in Google Cloud, I was finally able to ascertain some facts which we were suspecting with p3rv for a long time. Most of the downtimes (overuse of video streaming bandwidth/cpu) that we have experienced in previous 1.5 years have been due to continuous DOS attacks (for instance one IP produces 10000 requests in a short amount of time). One such attack just occurred after the release of Cock Hero - Levels. The IP used in this attack is: 68.97.73.232

I can expose more IP's if you guys are curious on investigating these attacks to hopefully identify the nature of people/entities who are not friendly towards the CH phenomenon. For those of you that are not that much technically prepared but still curious you can use for e.g. online ip geolocation tools etc.

I'm not a tecchie, but when I plug this number into the sorts of tools that Google helps me find, I get some surprising responses. It looks to me like I learn that it's a major corporation that probably wouldn't want us to know they acted that way. Am I wrong? What gives?

Me too. Since September 1, 2020, my Mega Sharing Zones contents are being removed by Mega.

If google tools = some ip whois site then the result you got means that the IP address used was located somewhere in USA, Oklahoma. With a big chance that the city was Edmond. And the ISP of the user who DOSed the site was Cox Communications.

Were the DOS attacks source was always a single IP address (may vary from attack to attack) or 1 attack was distributed between more IP addresses (DDOS, more IP DOSing the same target IP)?

If it was only from one IP address all the time (or a few) there is a big chance that the user also visited this forum around the time of the attack. With the same IP address (maybe the user reading this thread as well...) Therefore one can ask the milovana.com site admins if they can identify any forum user behind the IP address based on their own server logs. If the attacker got or use a milovana forum user at all... The more DOS attack log you have from the past with IP and exact time and date, the better in this case.

Meanwhile you may try to implement some kind of DOS protection on your site, like banning IP's with too high request/sec. If it is possible.

Cheers!

Thank you for your detailed explanation, I wrote my post a bit in haste.

DOS attacks one IP address involved in one attack. Those attacks are no longer such a threat as they used to be because Google Cloud seems more resistant to them.

Yes, I have a blacklist capability now.

Hello,

I have been using cockhero.richsex.com link for streaming, but I have noticed new videos have not been posted lately.

Am I using wrong site to get latest updates? Are new videos not being made?

Sorry for ignorance. I love your work and thank you for it.

Yes. Use http://cockhero.bugs3.com. This address was always used to redirect to the latest version of the site.

The redirect never works for me. Just lands on a page unavailable page every time. What's the trick to getting it to work?

Strange. It fails to redirect on both. Even with add-ons disabled.
