Congrats on starting your first video tease - so far, for your first initial round, it's fairly well done for a first attempt.
I'm not sure if you're read some of my posts here in the video section, but I'm usually the most critical when giving feedback to video tease creators. I don't have anything negative to say about your stuff, but I have some feedback that some people may take the wrong way... so I just want to say it out in front that I'm NOT trying to be a negative Nancy - just pointing out a few things that you could improve in your upcoming full version (btw, do you have a title?).
Some here's some feedback:
1) A "heads-up" text warning when stroke beat rhythm changes:
As you won't be using a stroke meter (
2) Sound balance and volume:
Two things regarding sound - one relatively minor, one a bit more minor.
You didn't use scene audio much (which is fine for this teasing intro), but when you did at the very beginning of the video, when Kayden first comes in, I can BARELY hear what she says. So, just be sure if/when you do incorporate scene audio that it's balanced and loud enough to be heard over the music and stroke beats.
Speaking of the stroke beat, you may want to use a different sound for the stroke beat - current stroke beat blends in almost too well with the music, so it can sometimes be hard to hear at least for me. Or maybe increase the volume of the stroke beat a by 5-10 decibels.
3) Some miscellaneous tips:
@1:21 - The stroke text reads "Stroke 1 - 123 - 2". This is nitpicky, but I think it makes more sense to label it 1 - 234 - 5. Not a big deal - I just figure you should always count forward and correctly numerically... makes it also easy to know (for both you the creator and the viewer) how many strokes per measure.
@2:22 - 3:36: video gets somewhat pixelated. Was the original video you used in this part a lot lower resolution than 1280x720? If it was, you should try to avoid that if you're final product is going to be 1280x720. If original source video is like 960x540 or higher, you could probably getaway "uprezzing" it to 1280x720. Otherwise, you may want to avoid using it, imho.
Otherwise, this is a great start - Kayden Kross is quite beautiful.
