It is my opinion that the two go hand in hand, a good deal of the time.
If you are dedicated to the use of the caps and lower case letters, usually you are dedicated to the slash as well.

When I look back to some of Lady X's earlier posts, and even mine, the slashes, caps and lower case were there. Even now, once in awhile, I do it without thinking, and it isn't until I have posted my comment, that I realize I have done it again.

When something such as this is the norm......it becomes part of you...just like saying "excuse me" after you burp.

Last week, at no request by anyone, I began to use "S/shell" in the chat room. Yes, this is different then the slash talk....but it is similar. It gives those in chat the knowledge that I can be either Dominate or submissive, depending on what I am feeling inside.

She replied that if W/we are talking via IM it's not big deal, but if it's an email or something else that's easy to edit then it is a must. Plus if i ever forget She doesn't make a big fuss about it. i just wanted to say that i think She has a good policy of when capitalization is or isn't required. Just my two bits about A/all, W/we, etc. Btw i took great care with this post to make sure that I capitalized when necessary and always lowercase my "i." i often forget to do such a thing.
I could never have a conversation written in a style like your post(not a personal attack or anything, but yours was a perfect example since you put the effort into doing it correctly), to me this is just way to hard to read.

Lack of capitalization is one thing if it's consistent but here it's just reads random and my brain can't parse what you're typing, so I have to carefully parse each word instead of just "reading the sentence" like I'd do normally. Random capitalization, combined with double spacing (but not always) makes my brain explode.

But I guess you get used to it? People earlier mentioned it was hard not to do when they were typing.

Chuckles

Finally being dyslexic has a benefit.
Slashy speak was/is never difficult for me to ead.

Like many things in life I accept things the way they are
and adapt accordingly.

Because I rely so very heavily on spell checkers
Slashy speak is very difficult to type without the corrections being automatically inserted.
